What are your regrets on your turbo setup? What did you do wrong? On your first time going boost?
I think my choice of a turbocharger was horrific . I chose the SC61 for my B16 and honestley there was a lost of power but the lag was horrific for my taste. Im upgrading to a GT2871R shortly . I also for soem reason forgot to tighten the tbolts on my charge pipe and that sucker blew off so fast

<-- building first turbo setup piece by piece.
I'm in for this! It would be cool to see some of those high power setup owners speak up about their first time too.

Agreed. Not being tuned right out of the box and not having a second car to drive.
After fixing these two problems I can sleep better at night these days.

I don't regret a whole lot.....i should have gotten a 3" exhaust and DP, but at the time i couldn't afford it. Now that i have the money, i'm upgrading to a ramhorn, 3" exhaust and eventually i'm going to build the engine....
no regrets....i didn't have the money to do anything different

My only regret with my sitaution now, is not building the block and doing everything the "right way" in the first place. Spun a rod bearing and now building the block for more boost. Since I have new hp goals, I've had to change almost everything in my turbo setup, sucks that I didn't even get to drive that much on my projected 300hp setup, maybe 50 miles? Lost so much money on the switch...
Lesson to be learned: although there are too many success stories with stock motors, you could be the 1 in a thousand person to have a motor that couldn't take the added stress. BUILD YOUR BLOCK THEN BOOST THE SHIET OUT OF IT

I regret not getting started 2 yrs ago when I had almost all my parts. I then lost interest b/c of other personal things going on. I bought a new car that I regretted and sold all my parts. Now I'm in the back of the line when I damn sure should be close to the front.
It seems like I'll never get to build another Honda again.

i regret ever buying an ssac manifold.
i also regret going to the darkside(cause nothing else will ever be good enough)....but only until the needle is blurring out of vacuum and diving to the big end of the gauge, all while my speedo needle is moving just as fast as the tach needle

I regret buying my drag kit so I am in the process of getting this setup done.Full build and new turbo setup with tuning but minimal headwork.I think the headwork is going to be my mistake on this build.
i regret being ghetto about ****
but its the best way to learn from mistakes.

That's what I'm doing. Suspension and brakes then the motor to match. I'm picking up the first part of my SOHC turbo tomorow. It will probally be another year before I get it on though. Oh well.
Great thread. BTW
