Default My ls/vtec build

My b18a1/b16a ls/vtec turbo build. Right now as you can see its still in the process of coming together but here are the specs.

-1990 acura integra b18a1 block
-reshly honed, decked, and cleaned, then painted with high temp flat black
-arp head studs
-arp rod bolts
-golden eagle dowel pins
-golden eagle vtec line, and oil filter sandwich
-pr4 b18a1 pistons and rods
-b18a crank, zero balanced, micropolished, and magnifluxed
-acl main bearings
-oem piston rings
-gsr water pump
-gsr oil pump

-1991 jdm b16a head
-stock
-cleaned, milled, and polished
-ctr intake manifold
-felpro head gasket
-all new gaskets
-braded vtec oil feed line
-apex'i vafc-II
-would like to find a p30 I have a virgin p28 that I would consider trading for

Anyways I hope you like it. I dont have any of my turbo kit right now, becuase im damn near broke, and am being forced to run a stock exhaust manifold for the time being. However, it will come eventually, and i'll keep you updated. I would like to hear some imput from all of you out there. Thanx.

Here's the ej1 the motor is soon to be sitting in, don't flame on the side moldings, I know they're faded, I normally have them back to the orignial color with back to black, oh well you get the picture.

Looks really nice man, I wish I had money for a build like this. Though I have to say I agree with VTECommie, ditch the VAFC, leave the stock VTEC engagement the way it is.

stock internals because i dont have any money to spend on internals right now. it's all in the future. start off modest and build gradually, im still in high school so its hard for me. i work and save so it takes me a while to get everything. plus stock internals can hold up to 300 whp on a goood tune. the vafc will help my tunability im not goint to mess with my vtec engagement points much, i just want the option see what the dyno gives me and go from there. if i have no need for it then i'll ditch it. thanx for the comments.

sweet dude, that block looks really good, you did a great job taping everything off... also that VC looks amazing like that... keep up the good work

i would recomend running NA for awhile to work out all the kinks from the swap, this will give you more time to save and then also a better running car

also what turbo are u looking to run? nothing like a gt35r i hope...

what is the reasoning for getting rid of it. i know my p28 will be fine without it, but is there a significant disadvantage for having it?

* Apexi AFC units: These units are piggy back systems which alter the signals being sent to your factory ecu. You should prevent from using a piggy back system.

thanx for the link, so what are your suggestions on my ecu then? just run my p28? will i have to change the chip once i turbo the car?

You shouldn't have a problem making more than that on stock internals once you're boosted. It's all in the tuuune!

And DON'T FORGET YOUR ARP ROD BOLTS!

Good luck.

DO YOURSELF A BIG FAVOR AND BUY SOME ARP ROD BOLTS!!! rod bolts are the downfall to alot of stock-built ls/vtecs

Thanks for the positive input and direction, it helps me know what to do next and gives me peace. dick. I never said it was anything special anywhere in the name, or the contnent of my post. If you don't have something constructive to say to me then just don't post. Oh, and if you're going to go to waste my time and energy on my thread then at least do it in correct english.

And thanks the_unkwnown, you got my back.
