Fri - It rained a lot in the evening, my canopy washed up on Chris' car.

Sat - Keith made breakfast. It was hot, we drank a lot of water.

Can anyone verify that a certain ITA G2 integra in HPDE 3 or 4 is still in one piece?

Quite a race in H2? Did I hear that right? Didn't he have to start at the back of the pack because of a weight problem?

Nope. We qualified: Me, Whitaker, Parrker. We Finished Me, Parker, Whitaker. Parker set the fastest race lap.

As far as I know, all H2s were OK on weight after qualifying and after the race.

Sunday's gonna be fun!

Zimmerman won H4 both days, I took second, Lyonel had a problem and wasnt able to finish saturdays race, but today he rode my bumper for half the race before I could pull a gap. I saw him go off in hog pen butt Im not sure how the recovery went.

Man...today's H2 race was the kind of race that makes all of the packing, prep, and time spend on the car worth it! Qualifying order: Whitaker, Me, Parker.
During the 11 - 12 lap race, we all traded positions - each led, each occupied 2nd and each sat in 3rd. Whitaker made a nice deep oubrake on me in #1 and made it stick.

Parker was leading on the last lap and broke an axle at Hog Pen! Poor bastard...he drove it well and drove the crap out it! Whitaker and me blew him by just past pit-in and took the checker. Whitaker won, me second, Parker 3rd .

I'm still buzzing. Good stuff!

To all of those SMs that we caught and nearly punted while we were battling.... Sorry

I <3 VIR. Had a great time this weekend, and it was very cool meeting some of the East Coast guys. Great region, and a great group of racers

Its more interesting to hear recaps from the drivers :D

edit: I know you guys love pictures, so enjoy! Oh and before anyone asks, my camera is a rare Kyocera model... 1.2 megapixel, and it gets great reception at VIR lol:

Some shots of the parking area:

Some of the cars there:

And Honda Challenge cars

Sunday's race, where iirc the 1st and 6th cars in H1 were within 1 second of each other.

Droop is overrated

A freakin hotel AT the track! How cool!

Nice paddocks, too

The Saturday night party. So many people! Free Yuengling ftw, too. HUGE thanks to Rejex Racing for the food

This is pretty much how my vision looked after 3 yuengling's in like 30 minutes lol lightweight . COngrats Chad!

You MidAtlantic guys get spoiled, with your fancy checkered flags and your high-falootin champagne

This was scary. These clouds rolled out of nowhere. Luckily it didn't spoil Saturday. Today was hot as all hell though.

Me = slow

The car is finally running right again, now I just have to get myself back up to speed. Hopefully the confidence will be coming back soon....

I had a decent weekend. I was able to finish 3rd on Saturday, with Chad in 2nd and Jason in 1st. Sunday my car died halfway through the last lap heading into the crossover. Thankfully it was only a melted dist. rotor.

I want a K..

Yeah, I must say it was nice to see some clean racing. There were a few pucker moments for some of us but overall good racing.

BTW: Sorry about my lock up smoke screen on Saturday.

It was loads of fun.

I have a pretty entertaining 20 minute in-car from Sunday. I'm web-challenged; anyone want to take my 8mm tape, convert, compress and upload it somewhere for us?

Stinger group ran great all weekend! The other groups were a mess at times.

I did want to ask why all the H4 guys got outqualified by a lowly SM on both days!

I just think you cursed my car by parking a Pontiac next to it.

Where is complete result? Surely someone didn't forget to get the result....

I need to keep in touch with all the results as I'm trying to make a bet-line for Nationals

It wasn't just "a" Pontiac. It was a G6 V6. I think it had more torch than all the HC cars put together (except maybe those H22's in the Curpier cars!)

Oh apparently the entire place is Wi-Fi enabled too! I didn't bring the laptop because I didn't think I could connect, but I was wrong. VIR is a great facility, I need to go out there more often.
