Default Decided to paint intercooler

I used light 3 light coats of flat black.
Before.

After.

I'm quite happy with the results. Looks stealth.

Hmm.. what paint did you use? If you dont use the right paint you can actually hinder the cooling function of the intercooler. The proper way would be to anodize it black.

I did my research before painting it and allot of people like myself use typical Flat black spray paint which can be found at the local home depot. The are some people putting down some serious hp with painted intercoolers. As long as the paint isn't loaded on the cooling effecientcy should not be affected.

it may lose alittle effiency, but as long as you arent 'maxing' out the IC your fine

as if this hasnt been beaten to death already. you paint the front, not the part that does 99% of the cooling.

We have made over 500 awhp on ICs painted with regular black spraypaint.

..and to the OP, that looks really clean

I can't tell but was it originally a polished IC? If so, was there any prep you did to it, or just clean it off and spray her down..

a little bit of black electrical tape on the front of those clamps is the way to go
