FINALLY, I made it to the dark side!!!!!! Woohooo (I have a stiffy!)
Yes!! Its been about 7-8 months in the making. A little back ground for the people who havent been following my buildup. I'll shorten the story for ya's.
I decided to go turbo like I said about 8 months ago. Was going for the junkyard economy turbo. After being a hondatech ***** I decided I might as well do it right and get everything done. Went to a new turbo, manifold, dp, wastegate, hondata, injectors. Well you get the point. Now Im glad I decided to go the custom route. Thats the short story.
Anyway, started yesterday at 2 PM, finished this morning at about 2:30 AM. Not too bad for the first time installing the turbo. Most of the time I was sitting around trying to find someone that could weld the oil bung on the pan--I decided to use a bulhead setup (weldless).
Anyways, what more can I say. I have a smile permananetly attached to my face
I took it for a little test drive this morning and I think I woke up half ot this county and the one next to me. Open downpipe (hint, hint-to my last week thread) isnt as quiet as people say it is!!!! Especially under boost, fawking loud as ****!! BUT I LIKE IT LOUD.
Honestly, I would like to thank the guys in the forum especially and I dedicate my my love for the turbo honda scene to the FI forum as well. Without this website I would have never learned so much about this great thing we know as boost.
Thanks guys!

Congrads.
I know how you feel...I put a turbo on my partners Civic SI and once i took it for a spin i was hooked. Made me want a turbo car even more :D Ive been in turbo cars many many times but this was the first one i installed by myself and it made it that much better. It was nice to have it crank right up on the first try and take for a test spin. Turbo 4 bangers are definetly very fun.

I know what ya mean by loud dude. I went from NO DP to a closed-loop 2.5" DP on stock cat + exhaust. Now it is almost as quiet as stock. It seems to have a slightly deeper tone, but it is sooo quiet. I can hear the turbo spool and I love it!
Good luck with your setup! Congrats!

lol one girl fainted in my car when I took the car over 230km/h
I said to her "look, the needle's still moving, and there's no numbers left on the speedo!"

Ok all heres some pics. Sorry, its was dark out when I took these, but you get the idea.
I need to redo the intercooler piping when I upgrade it to a larger one. But other than that you should be able to see the custom fuel system along with some other goodies. For now I am running wg boost which is .45 bar or about 6.5 psi. That, for now is awesome! I have troubles finding traction all the way until 3rd gear. Definetly pulls on top with the .63 turbine housing and doesnt reach full boost until about 37-3900.
Just did some wicked 2nd gear burnouts and I left twin marks for atleast 200 feet! I cant wait to dyno it and get it tuned for 8-11 psi. Hopefully thursday it will get tuned at ATCO--supposedly a hondata mobile dyno tuner will be there.

BTW the maxrev mani looks great....did u bling bling it yourself? I wasnt going to polish mine but now im haveing second thoughts.
Your pics look almost exactly the same as pics of my install would have. In front of a garage that isnt big enough to fit in. Rainy outside. Tools everywhere. Late at night. I too had to drive with open DP, funny. Weird. I didnt take any pics though. Anyways it looks very very nice I like it. Post a pic of your entire car, I couldnt find any on your site.
turbo on 4:20 huh....hahaha too bad we dont have a "go smoke weed all day" poll option on this post....lol jk...good job man, it'll probably be about 8 months or so before ill be boosting on my hatch as well....congrats
nice...didn't need to know about the stiffy tho..
....tried open wg..way too loud...don't know how you can stand it!
