couple lsvtec questions.
i was jsut told on the phone that the dome on a usdm itr piston p73 is smaller than the dome on a pr3 piston by rs machine.
i was always under the impression that the pr3 was the flattest vtec piston. then came the p30, then the itr then the ctr.
what i wanted to do wa sometehing a little out of the ordinary. i wanted to pick up ls pistons and rework the valve pockets, then mill the crap out of my head to get the desired CR (11.3:1 or so) im assuming ls pistons would yield the lowest CR, however, valve to piston contact is ineveitable with anything bigger than a CTR cam because non-vtec valve pockets are just in the wrong place.
ls block by the way.
i want to run the flattest piston i can and get my CR from head milling. any recommendations?
also, after the arp rod bolts are pressed in, does teh rod need to be worked over at all?
