Here is a small image. If you quote this post in a reply, you will see how it works.
The hosted HTTP location of an image is pasted between the image tags.
Your pictures have to be uploaded to a host first. WTDR, Photobucket, Imagestation, iServe, some free and some at a small price, are all image hosting sites.
http://www.imageshack.us is the best I've found. They resize images for you and give you a choice of like 10 html codes to c/p.
PS- shouldn't there be a forum for questions like this??

i note photobucket
just cause they host desent video capabilities now, also when ya upgrade your account to host videos you can also upload HUGE pictures!
when ya make your photobucket site it should already have like 3 types of links to that picture shown, just copy and past the one ya need for that site,
only thing i dont like about photobucket is thier video hosting kinda sucks right now with downgrading quality and picture, but then again my camera is 7.2 mega pixels.LOL so im sure for size issues it downgrades alot for most connections to view it. but i like it so far!

Well, you have to sign up to upload pictures on there. I don't believe there are any limits (I have a lot of pictures on there, no problems yet). Yes, pictures stay until you delete. Compress? Not sure, I always upload them as JPEGs.
It's free. If there is a space limit to the amount of pictures you can hold.. Make multiple accounts.

By the way....
If you have an America Online account, then using AOL Explorer or the America Online Client, go to Keyword FTP.
If there is no Images folder in the root directory, then create one.
Whatever images you upload into your images folder can be linked anywhere. You can upload videos into your Images folder, but you will have to change the extension to ZIP so that the FTP server thinks you are hosting compressed files instead of images. All the downloader has to do is change ZIP to AVI or MPEG or whatever.
Now, here's the big news:
If you have an America Online account, your FTP space's bandwidth is completely unlimited. In most cases where you've also created a Homespace Web page to go with your account, your <u>space</u> allowed will also be unlimited!

what you should do is learn grammer.
okay, now when you go to photobucket, log in, go to browse, select pic from your files, and then upload it. when you're done it should show the pic with 3 html codes
url
tag
img
copy the img html and paste it in your reply box
