Default Loserkidwac's Project "B-Rex" Update

So I started in the Honduh world with my 91 CRX si and she has come a long way....from a stock D16a6 to her present B18b and soon to boosted B18b >:D I'll just post some pics and list the specs...

My fav pic

and the turbo parts ;D

Some of these mods are on the car some are either sitting here or in the mail waiting to be put on:

B18b all stock w/ 91 LS teg tranny
Alum 1/2 rad and slim fan from LSD motorsports
Stage 3 6 puck Clutch Specialties clutch
Thermal R&D exhaust w/o cat

Suspension:
Koni Yellows w/ Ground Control Coil overs 450/600
DA teg sway bars
JK motorsports front corssmember/traction bar
ES bushing master kit

Turbo Kit:
NoName Cast mani w/ external gate
Garrett T3 .60/.63
Tial 38mm ext gate
Tial 50mm BOV
Stealthmode Oil line kit and firewall T
DSM 450cc Injectors
PM6 Chipped with TE
HMT style catchcan
Boost and Oil pres Auto-meter "sport-comp" guages

Still need to get a nice FMIC and order the piping to make the IC and DP, hoping to hit 250-300hp

Any questions or comments? thanks for taking a look

Looks like a fun project. Definitely looks like a sleeper with the three tone paint.... Good Luck with the build.

Thanks...everyone says to flat black it but its kind of grown on me being red/blue/white/black/maroon... has that "what a piece" effect but is and will be extremely fast...

best time so far was a 15.3 with bad plugs wires and ingtion timing should be in the 14s now and hoping for atleast mid 12s with boost

Looks like a sweet project other than the multi-colored paint the car looks cherry too. Turbo ZC's are preety neat setups, you should check out Azulito's CRX. One of the cleanest ZC turbo CRXes I've seen. Basides that Allan is a really cool guy.

Oh snap I saw exposed cam gears and thought it was a ZC. LOL For me. I should have looked better. That will actually be even better yet. How much boost are you gonna run? Might want to build that bottom end.

I don't think thats unreasonable 250-300 hp in CRX with a good suspension shouldn't be to much of a problem as long as I get the traction....My friends 94 civic si ran high 12s with an ls turbo setup with around 250hp seems like a reasonable goal

I can relate. BTW if you need an extra block and crank I got one sitting on an engine stand at my shop. You can never have enough spares.

I'm a true believer in hmt set ups and have seen some impressive numbers but 14 psi "daily" + more at the track is pushing it. I have seen LS's take some abuse but a stock block taking more than 15 psi is where you are going to run into problems. When people rave about SR20's being the ideal turbo motor and they cut off at 15 psi stock and thats with a cast iron block! I honestly think 14 psi daily will end that motors life early.

Got some more goodies in the mail in the past 2 weeks ;D

JK Motorsports Traction bar
PCM 1/2 rad slim fan and new hoses
JRC 6" FMIC
And some flanges to make a mani and DP

I think all I need is my 2.5" piping for my IC piping and some 3" for my DP along with some silicone and T-bolt clamps

Its always good to see, PA boys. Its strange but I never really knew their were so many hondas in your area. I guess that whole boyertown/pottstown area has a lot of hondas. Anyway keep us updated on the project, by the way you are missing the engine mount bolt on the right hand side. Hopefully its in their by now.
