Looky what I got this weekend!
I completed the SCCA driver school at Nelson Ledges, thus I have my provisional rookie race license. ....and the car got its official SCCA log book and is now a legal race car.
I'm now filling out the paper work now to send in to NASA for a provisional race license with them. See you guys at beaverun for my 1st HC race!! Be gentle

Here are some pictures my wife took during the school and practice races.
I managed to qualify on pole for the practice race. I think FWD + wet track during qualifying helped me.
Congratulations!!!
BTW, rule number 1 is that you're not allowed to lap the directors!
Seriously, I'm looking forward to seeing you at Beaverun and again, congrats!

congrats! gotta love ITE..
I went the same route in regards to getting my license.. beware that NASA Midwest wasn't thrilled about having to give them the SCCA Novice Permit and not a completed Regional Competition License when I did it.. so it may not go smoothly, but I hope it does! more H2 cars = AWESOME..

Are you going to be racing in Honda Challege or Honda Cup? I've been doing HPDE's for a few years now and I would love to get my license. What sort of racing can you do now with the license.
Honda Challenge H2 the rest of this year. Next year maybe some ITS, PT, H2, ...not sure yet. We don't have SCCA Honda Cup over on the East side.

Start writing those weight break letters to the competition board now!
Seriously though, with the pending idea that FWD cars may get a break in ITS next year, you might see a little weight off of them.
Either way, congrats Walter!

Jezz in 98' when I got mine They did not give out plaques! Now you need to work on your Expert License then your Pro! It took me a about a year to get my Expert, and After the runoffs I was able to apply for my Pro!!
