Default question about 96 accord axles(just to make sure)

is one axle almost twice the size as the other? i'm doing my parents axles on a 96 accord automatic(sohc vtec) the passenger side is called a halfshaft part number 8034, and drivers side(super long) part number 8043 and it's called an axle shaft. is this correct? i just want to make sure we've got the correct things before i start this project. this will be my first time trying to do axles. i read up on all the threads here, very awesome info on the site. but somebody please confirm for me that i do have the correct items. i was just amazed that the driver side would be almost double the length as the other one. thank you in advance..........jj

yes, that is correct...

the transmission is on the passenger side which is why the driverside axle is so long...
