does it smell like syrup?? is it sticky?? if then, its the heater core or a heating hose...if not you probably have a leaky windshield seal

also seals behind the kickpanel cover, and I'm not exactly sure where the front sunroof drains come out, but I know the rear ones tend to flood the trunk.

mine leaks in the same place from right above the kick panel... its been that way for 3 years, ive never really investigated at all... I always figured it was something structural wrong with my car... if it's something as simple as sunroof drains, im gonna be pissed!!

I have a leak on my driver's side... Water runs right over where you pop the hood and onto the floor.

I brought it to the windshield place where I had just gotten it replaced (and the leak mysteriously appeared after that) and they said it was definitely NOT my windshield that was leaking. I don't believe them, but there's little more I can do about it.

Strange though, sometimes it will rain very lightly and I'll get all kinds of water and sometimes it will rain very hard and it will remain dry inside.

I've played with my vent settings... maybe it wont leak if I have it on cool instead of heat / or internal air instead of fresh / or front vents instead of defrost but I haven't been able to find a pattern.

I leave my sunroof cracked even in the rain so if it were the drains that leaked, the water in the car would be consistant.

Also realize that the sunroof has 4 drain tubes and one of them goes down in that area...

remove your fuse box located under the hood. There should be a grommet about 1.5 inches in diameter. It will be a few inches below the fuse box. It is commonly removed when running wire for V-TEC or for an amp. Mine has been out for a while and whenever it rains , I can tell it kinda gets that damp smell inside. See if you are missing the grommet.

speaking of mysterious dampness, one time my passenger side rear seat was pretty soaked. I have no idea where that came from.

Not to try and thread steal but I got my first flat with my lude a couple weeks ago and I noticed that where my donut is kept in the trunk had a puddle of water. I have a 5th gen SH with the sunroof. Is that where the water is coming from? If so could somebody show me some pics of where the tube that could be flooding my trunk is located? Thanks

use something like compressed air to clear the drain tubes. if it's the trunk it's prolly leaking from the taillights.

also if you take off the pass. fender liner, theres a big rubber plug probly 2 inches around, and a wire runs through it. you can see it if you take off the kick panel on the inside. mine was leaking through there
