Sorry no graphs because I didn't bring a disc and my tuners printer broke. I'll describe everything the best I can though. Powerband was basically climbing all the way to 8500rpms. No dips. Torque said pretty steady at 109lbs

Base run: 158whp 99lbs/tq
final run: 175whp 109lbs/tq

Stock JDM B16A bottomend
Skunk2 Stage 2 cams
supertech VS/retainers
AEBS manifold (all port matched)
ITR throttle body
head milled .020
Fake J's intake
Hondata gasket
Jasma header (bit pancaked on the bottom)
2.5" straight through exhaust
exedy 8.5lbs flywheel
chipped P28 with chip by pherable
tuned with VAFC2

I think thats it basically. What do you think?

you need more compression to run those cams....you would of probably seen better gains with Stage 1's

that intake makes about as much power as a stock intake arm with a drop in filter.

Good numbers.

You should post a graph of this for others so they'll have a ideal of how to make power.

first off....what dyno was this on?
secondly, dreaming of high tq numbers from a b16 is pointless. High horsepower is obtainable on the other hand. Your hp levels seems very good. I also agree that your withholding some power in your intake and header.

good job tho...the gains seem substantial

eh, i consider it as some back pressure

Yeah I know. I wanted stage 1s, but noone was selling them around me and I got the stg 2s for 500 brand new and needed cams asap so. Plus I'm most likely going to do a GSR bottom with PR3s or something in the future :crosses fingers:

Not exactly sure what you're trying to say but I got it for $50 so w/e

Dynojet. Oh I know, when I saw the torque I started laughing lol. What do you suggest for intake and header? I don't really want to do a CAI or a velocity stack just because its a DD and I don't want to worry about that stuff.

for the #s.

I would say your plans would be much more gain then swapping intake and header now do them once you get the larger block with higher comp.

Nice run though.

if you stick w/ the b16 than toda header, but if you move on to your gsr bottom end, then another header like rage/dtr/ smsp/ etc etc.

and it was tuned on a vafc

good numbers

This may be a dumb question, but whats wrong with the Fake J's intake w/ K&N 4" filter?

A short ram intake arm with a velocity stack and a K&N made 3-5whp on my car as opposed to the fake J's w/ K&N I was running before.

It was a GSR with 11:1 c/r and Stage 1's. Our set-ups are actually pretty similar when I ran those cams and the J's intake.

The J's hype kinda wore off over the past year. I'll admit it... I bought into it.

I wanted to keep the setup like everyday/street setup I guess, so I didn't want to use a velocity stack. But yeah the Fake J's I bought around 8 months ago for $50 so

I didn't know there were "carbish" like DC. Aren't they just Mugen header knockoffs?

I have no idea, I thought it was a company lol me

edit: yeah you're right Nick. Any suggestions on a decent header that won't cost me a grand? I was thinking the ITR 4-1? Or is that considered a carb header too?

Yeah it is, I wouldnt bother with a US ITR header. I'd get atleast a JDM ITR header or a copy of it at the minimum.

You can search "Header" in this forum and find a ton of results. There are many good brands.
