GSR swap, MASSIVE oil spill
i got my gsr swap done and i started it up for 10 seconds, saw some sort of fluid fly up and shut it off, looked under the car and there was about 2 quarts of oil spilling all over the ground, it had shot all over my firewall as well so the oil must have been under quite a bit of pressure
i then noticed that in my haste of putting the head on I put the headgasket on upside down like a dumbass
would this cause me to loose 2 quarts of oil in 10 seconds?
if not does anyone know what it could be, i was pretty sure that everything was hooked up but i will check again tomorrow when i take the head off to flip the head gasket over
I also have and oem s2000 filter, could this leak oil as well?
nothin dripped from the block until the oil gained pressure from the oil pump
as you may understand im quite pissed off and and any help is appreciated

this sounds similar to what happend to me cept i was drivin...take off ur filter and make sure it doesnt have double gasket...sometimes when u take the older one off that rubber gasket stays stuck where the filter goes
for sure, thats what i thought as well
anyone think it would be safe to re-use the gasket and just flip it over since the car only ran for about 10 seconds?

Pretty much. I had a guy come in and use gasket maker for a head gasket, and then he tried to blame the disaster that was his car on me the next week.
