OBD0-OBD1 Conversion complete but I'm getting a CEL
Okay, this weekend I finished my OBD1 conversion on my 90 Hatch with a B16A. The car starts up fine but then after a few seconds the check engine light comes on. I'm using a P72 GSR ECU and all the wiring is right except for a few wires. There is one wire that is not connected to anything and leads to Pin D4. I looked up the pinouts for the P72 ECU and that wire is for a Service Check Connector. I don't have any idea what that is and where it goes. Can someone tell me where to connect that wire to? Also, there are other extra wires which I think are all grounds but I'm not sure if they are important or not. Also, how do I check for ECU Error Codes? I tried jumping the wires but the check engine light doesn't blink. Sometimes the car needs to sit for a while because it seems to flood or shot too much gas or something. My heat temperature gauge is not working also, so it could be over heating. I could really use some help. Thanks

wrong
the D4(service check connector)(Brown wire) has to be joined/jumpered (only when troubleshooting codes, adjusting ignition timing, etc.) with the Green/White wire which is a "floating ground", common with the TPS, ECT, IAT and 02 sensors but not the chassis ground.

sweet now my check engine blinks codes. it's blinking code 20 and code 5. What should I do because 20 is the ELD (Electrical Load Detector) and I don't know what that is or how to fix it. I'm not sure if a code 5 exists. Got any answers? Thanks

Wow its hard to read error codes from the CEL. I'm used to reading it from a red LED on the obd0 ECU's. My car is blinking only code 41, which is (Primary Oxygen Sensor Heater- Circiut malfunction). Could it be that the oxygen sensor heater wires are wrong?
The oxygen sensor I used was a BOSCH from AutoZone and it had 2 wires that were the same color. Therefore I couldn't figure out which one was which. One was for Heater Circuit and one for Heater Circuit Ground. Where should I wire the Heater Circuit Ground to? Thanks

h-ground I believe is D22 can work. hmmm.. not thinking to clear I know one of the o2 sensor you just use your old o2 sensor from obdo for it and the other I THINK goes to d14, and the power one goes to d17. Good be wrong like I said off the top of my head!!
You are suppose to jump the ignition timing plug and it will make your CEL start blinking.
On my 91 Crx Si it was behind the glove box or behind the kick panel.
On my 88 civic Dx it is in the engine bay like near the driver side shock tower.
You just put like a paper clip in it and you can see your CEL blink
