Default Tech. Service Bulletin

Does anyone have the information for a tech service bulletin for the 2000 USDM ITR?

The Bulletin No is "01-025"
The Issue Date was OCT 2001
The Bulletin Title is "Oxygen Sensor/Wiring - MIL ON/DTC P0132 Set "

I've been trying to get the info in Canada, but no luck.

All U.S. bulletins are usually easily accessible because there are laws that obligate them to be posted.

Is there anybody in the US that can help me out?

SYMPTOM
The MIL is on, and DTC P0132 is set.

PROBABLE CAUSE
Mositure intrusion causes corrosion of the engine wire harness and the primary heated oxygen sensor. This corrosion affects the sensor's output voltage to the ECM/PCM.

CORRECTIVE ACTION
Replace the engine wire harness and the primary HO2S. Secure the sensor connector pigtail to the wire harness to prevent moisture intrusion.

FAILED PART/REPLACEMENT PART
Harness (32110-P73-A02)
Sensor (36531-P73-G01)

FLAT RATE TIME
Retrieve the DTC and clear the code with PGM Tester.
0.3hrs
R&R engine wire harness
1.9hrs.

It just means if you car throws a check light for no apparent reason, you might want to bring the car in to have them check it out.

No reason to worry.

You'll know if you have this problem, cause every now and then when you step on the gas the car will hesitate (almost like limp mode). And you will have a CEL of course.

jes.... that is the correct description.

But I just wanted to know if my #67 CEL = the same CEL that the "corrosion" causes.

No, you'll get CEL Code #1, for the corrosion problem.

P0132, 1, Primary Heated Oxygen Sensor Circuit High Voltage (Sensor 1).

Been there, I'm so over that. Had the O2 problem... took them two weeks to find the problem......

Two weeks, damn

I've been stuck with this problem since April 2001, the TSB came out October 2001, and I just found out about the TSB February 2002. Talk about pain in the ***!

Fuminsho what did Acura do to fix it? Replace engine wiring harness or splice some wires?

I got an apt. for monday, hopefully they'll fix it then. Apparently the engine wiring harnesses are way backordered .

They narrowed down the problem on mine to a bad pin. No water exposure, it was just a bad connection and it would be fine when the car was warmed up, but when it cooled down and I went to start her up, the check engine light would come on.
They change some major item $$. The O2 sensor was replaced. This was one of the first major steps in trying to fix the problem. Then when that didn't work they changed out my ECM!! I was like OK, it's under warranty... do it. But right after I took her out ... booom.... check engine light. So they had a big conference/think tank go-round. And the end result was....
Just wiggle the O2 wire and see what happens..... sure enough... check engine light. They replaced the pin connection and I haven't had a problem since.

That's exactly what they have done for me so far.

I guess the next step is to "wiggle" the O2 wire, and replace the pin connection
