NRG Tech's RHD EVO 5; AMS Evo Killa
Ok, ok. Well maybe I shouldnt have said "AMS Killa." lol. I should have added in the "yet."
This project has been in the works since earlier this year. We built the chassis for the car, did parts of the fuel system and are building the motor. This is a project done in collaboration with another local shop; Enzo Racing. Enzo of Enzo Racing is responsible for some beautiful things going on the with car. I'm sure Enzo will be more than happy to share his portion of the work when he is ready.
The begining stages of the chassis.

Where the rear seats used to be. The remote battery kill switch and battery box.

Ground for the battery.
U can see where it is in the above picture. It directly in the center of the rear "X."

Battery charging terminals located on the main hoop. This is the view from the LH side of the car's rear door. (or passenger rear door
)

I unfortunately don't have any pictures of the fuel cell. This is the stock fuel fill. I machined the stock piece. Then machined a fitting for it and welded it back together. Leo (Menuzzo; owner) was bored one friday night so he then powdercoated it here. lol
A line attatches to this and runs to the fuel cell which is partially within the trunk/partially out the bottom of the car. It is covered with tin.

The parachute cable setup.

Other assorted pictures of the car.

looks good.
one thing tho:
the battery terminals look dangerous! one slip of those alligator clamps for charging and sparks will fly.
maybe the +/- terminals shouldnt be so close together.

nice work guys
also that battery kill switch needs to be mounted at the rear of the car and clearly labled "off" for that position, maybe you can use the inside one in conjunction with an external one

I'm gonna change the frontend to EVO V/VI and get the EVO V/VI rear fender flares so I can run my new wheels. It already has an HKS manifold so I am planning to add an EVO IX turbo a new DP and a better IC piping setup.

The shutoff needs to be located at the rear of the car, not the switch. This switch is cable operated and the cable comes out the back of the car, it's legal. By doing it this way you save the weight of a bunch of 4ga. power wire.

IV/V/VI/TM (6.5) run from $5k to $20K. The TM's pull a lot of dough!!
I have seen quite a few IV's in the $5k~$9K range.
I got mine cheap because seller had too many cars and his wife threaten to give him a vasectomy if he didn't liquidate some of his toys. Came with HKS manifold, HKS exhaust, GAB suspension, and an OS Giken super single that got changed to an ORC 409D for cheap. I picked up a complete EVO V front Brembo setup (calipers & rotors) for $400 and I can get the rear set for $200 with an extra left front caliper.
NRG - how did you get that EVO V in the US. I am moving back to the US next year and I plan to bring all of my current toys plus a '68 GTR with me.

That motor better hold the power of the of the t3 60 trim Im using and put down at least 290 whp or me and u are gonna scrap!.
You think the officials will bitch if I make a low 13 sec pass with that cage? I know the parachute is an overkill, but I'm just preparing myself for when the MHP goes down from 150 to 115 in the next 38 years..
