I just bought a JDM H22 w/ LSD, Type S cams, Euro R intake mani, Mugen Header, lightened flywheel, and stage 2 clutch for $2300!. I got it right when it was shipped over from Japan. It also has a 75mm nissan throttle body welded on it. This thing is a beast and I'm going to put it at the end of the month.

kind of worried about the throttle body. I love my cruise control but might have to give it up for the sake of power. Any one ever heard about someone putting a nissan TB on a honda? I might have issues with the TPS but it came like that straight from Japan so I know it used to work. Let me know what you guys think.

 

as long as the tps is 0-5v rising signal you should be fine. you might have to wire it in but no biggie.

Im pretty sure you can sell that m0000 header (very low hp gain, if some) and get yourself a custom-made header w/ the money you get out off it.

 

I thought the cruise control acted directly on the pedal, i'm not sure though. Congrats.

Yea those guys give you a great deal. I got the dohc ZC for my civic for $500. Free delivery too

Their prices are crazy cheap

 

went and picked it up today and the compression test read 275 psi across the board. this thing has to have a built bottom end to with that high of a compression reading. it also has an oil cooler. This thing is gonna be sick....ohh and the nissan tb is 3.75" in diameter!!!!!!

Looks Like I'm gonna have to have the flex pipe welded or buy a new header..still a good deal though. Also going to paint the valve cover crinkle coat red.

yeah, it's really dirty. I'll have to clean it up. That's what I like about JEI is that they don't clean their engines so you can tell if there was an oil leak.

 

how did you get compression readings of 275 across the board with the motor cold and out of a car?

 

thats probably what it said on their paperwork I doubt he is claiming HE did the comp test

 

They test it but I didn't get a report with my engine (he could have). All you need to do is connect a starter and be sure it has oil and a filter on it.

This motor is gonna be freakin sweet.

We had that F22 running pretty nice too tho.

the Comp test was probably actually a leakdown test.

I second the motion to sell the header....after extensive cleaning and polishing that is.

And either way what are the odds of getting an engine with under 40K miles that has bad compression?

and i agree i would not want the engine cleaned either. You've got a little work but that's a good deal!

 

those sandals are chaco's.

Chaco's and a Nalgene bottle are requirements from graduating from the school we went to.
