Default Scott Honda wait time????

I just ordered my 06 si from Scott Honda and they told me that it wouldn't be in until July. Anyone else in the same boat as me? Should I go to another dealership? The salesman also wrote red as the color. Should I get him to specify this as I wanted the habanero red pearl, but it also comes in rallye red?

I bought one in DE, just walking into Union Park in Wilmington, so I got lucky; it just came in on the lot; by the time we had signed the papers, there were plenty of people trying to buy it before they could get the SOLD sign on it....

But, my friend found one in a MD dealership and drove down to get it (Ralleye Red)..

And, his dad (yeah old-man still likes the Si ) found one at a dealer in NJ with Navi (Ralleye Red) and bought it also.

So, they are at dealers, my advice to you would be to call around and see who has them on their lots..

definitely specify the color - just to be absolutely sure you get what you want. A while back I told a dealer that I wanted either white or silver Si...and when neither of the cars came in as promised, they tried to sell me a Galaxy Grey and tell me that it was silver. The window sticker even said Galaxy Grey! Moral of the story is...never ASSUME that you'll get exactly what you want UNLESS you specify. Also, that long of a wait seems about normal. However, if you shop around, you might get lucky and find one on another lot just waiting to be bought. That's what I did after the other idiot dealer wasted my time and tried to insult my intelligence. Good luck! and good choice on the Si...you'll love it!

Call around to the other dealerships. If you willing to drive 45mins or so, there are 5-6 other dealerships. I'm sure one of them has a SI or two sitting around.

Well I called about 30 dealers within 75 miles and there were only two at the lots. Both were Galaxy Grey and they were already bought. I guess I will just have to wait. I made sure that I did specify my color to the dealer. He wrote red on the order form and I was like, can you make sure that it is the Habanero Red Pearl, and he told me he would not forget that.

I bought mine in NJ you fool, not MD. Specifically from Willis Honda in Burlington, NJ.

I find it hard to believe you can't find a dealership that has one in any color other then galaxy grey in stock as it has only been a month and when I called around literally every dealer until I found the color I wanted almost half of the dealers had Si's in stock just not in the color I wanted. Most of them infact had the Habi Red when I was lookin for ralleye red.

I just moved from PA about a month ago and when I was still there, everywhere I looked was telling me a 2 month wait on the Si, so it looks like thats the same thing you're running into. As for the color, YES, defintiely make sure he wrote down which one you want.

You should be able to find out when one is being built though that meets the requirements you have (color, navi...). Maybe not you personally, but the dealer should be able to find out when one is rolling of the line. But I guess you already ordered it, so now its just a waiting game. I think that was the worst part for me.

Well if anyone can find me a habi red, that would be great. If not, I will just have to wait.

I'm tellin ya man go to Honda's website and pull up dealer locater for all dealers within like 75 miles of your home. You will come back with like 15 pages of dealers to choose from. Start at the closest and just keep calling and asking do you have a habi red Si in stock and if so whats the price. That simple. I found mine in one day and my father found his in a couple days.

Yea dude I already did that. I called about 40 dealers within 75 miles of me and the only ones I found were grey and they were also overpriced.

Lehigh Valley Honda has a Habenero Red Pearl sitting outside of it's show room it was there yesterday when I left work @ 530pm. I checked. It's been there for two days. Ig got in on Thursday of last week. Don't know it's status (if it was preordered) but it doesn't have Navi. The sticker was/is $20,890 before the 1billion fees. Your in Indiantown Gap? Not too far. Give them a call first thing in the morning.

Have you tried searching through online dealer inventories?

the only thing I can tell you other then wait for yours to come in on the order is to expand your search. If you want one that bad then if you're willing to drive for it I'm sure you can find one within a couple hundred miles.

Well, I know it doesn't help when your axious to get one, but at least you have an order in. In the mean time, start buying the stuff you want to put on it so when it gets here you don't have to piece it together one part a week.
