hey guys i was just wondering what kind of short throw shifters you guys have? how much was it? Is there a big difference? and how about a picture?
I was given one of those e-bay knock off ones... i ended up taking it out, although for a while i did notice a difference.
the only problem was it rubbed against one of the heat shields, so I figured that it was worthless to have it in.
i've heard a lot of good things about the skunk2. it just might depend on what kind of car it's going into as well, but i never buy anything that's generic.

I've had a total of 4 dif shifters,
cheap *** APC, dual bend I think
Edelbrock slanted to the side
B&M no bend
and then a stock GSR shifter
I liked the gsr shifter the most out of them all, length of throw was Barely noticeable.

I went through 4 as well
Stock GSR
STR
APC
B&M
Skunk2
The STR i dont think they make them anymore but it was nice because they were adjustable. APC broke on me. B&M no bend was nice i like it alot and then i end up with the dual bend Skunk2 and it was the best.

the skunk2 is a tad bit shorter in height compared to my gsr shifter. I like the skunk2 shifter alot. I was supprised when I put it in it didnt hit my exhast like my old autozone cheap short shifter in my crx.
i went thru 2 shifters. The first one got eatin up from the cheap TypeR repica shift ****. and not i got a skunk2 counter weight shift **** sitting on the B&M.
Tenzo R dual bend that came with the car.
B&M Dual bend (I got it from AutoWorks for $50)

i have the same setup. it has everything i was expecting from most short shifters.. shorter throw.. and slightly lower height than stock. it also comes with a nice and loud rattle when i get over 7k rpms...
other than the rattle (which i have been too busy to fix and yes its fixable) its a great setup.

How much farther you have to reach to get it into gears if you sit farther back,
I'm a lazy ***, and that was the one reason I didn't like the no bend b&m shifter.

It made a big difference from stock

thats what i have too.
B&M Edge shifter. i love it. if you have a stock seat, you have to sit a little bit closer to the steering wheel and that is uncomfortable if you are a big person.
i have a sparco bucket seat and a smaller momo wheel to comphensate for all that. lol

i have the B & M and it rubs on my heat shield, which is gay. i hate it, im guessing the skunk2 is a little better. but if i wouldve known this, i wouldve just kept the damn stock one.
