Default Motor Swap - Wideband O2 in HX - Problem?

I have a 97 HX and I will be doing a B18B OBDI Turbo Swap very soon. Since the factory harness is for a wideband O2 sensor, will it present any problems when I swap the motor and use a narrowband O2? I will be using an OBDI ECU with a OBDIIa-OBDI jumper harness. Thanks.

you will be alot less stressed out if you run an obd1 ecu. why worry about using a conversion harness and all when the motor is already obd1. obd1 engine/harness/ecu, 4wire o2 should be incorporated into the obd1 harness, run them to the ecu, and call it a day. you wont be able to use the stock wideband for anything.

I have to use a jumper because my engine harness is a 97 (OBDII) and I am using an OBDI engine and ECU. I am not switching out the harness, just converting it right before it plugs into the ECU.

You can re-wire the harness to be 4wire. I did that before when I went turbo on my HX. Or if you are going turbo and running a chipped ECU program, you can just turn "off" the oxygen sensor

Would E-manage and Hondata let you turn the oxygen sensor off?

yes, and just run in closed loop. Just put the wideband o2 sensor on the car for when your tuner tunes it. Because I am certain that if you're going to all this effort you plan on getting it tuned.

So I really wouldn't even need an o2 sensor? But if I don't have one, will it give me a CEL?
