I have heard different stories for instance the steering wheel vibrates and the car squeeks all over. Can anybody give me thier opinion of the pros and cons.

I installed a set of inserts on my friends car, we didnt even install the rear mount just the 2 side mounts. His car vibrates like crazy!..Theres squeeks all over the place at idle, but one u start moving its not too bad. Id prolly just get a torque damper. I just filled my 2 lower torque mounts(ac mount and tranny mount) with 3M window weld and it got rid of my wheel hop and i'll most likely get a tourqe damper.

My roomate had the "street" Hasport mounts in his car and it rattled the damn car like crazy, but it was also a 16 year old civic sedan with a ls/vtec and S2 Pro1's so that didn't help much. I'm looking into the Innovative mounts, Hella_JDM has some and he loves em over the Avid's that he had, plus the Innovative's look really good.

I've used two different kinds.

The first I had were the Jim Fab torque mounts. I absolutely hated them. I had to borrow my buddy's car for a date because my Integra rattled so much because of them.

I switched to the energy suspension inserts, I like these a lot. There is barely a difference from stock, very minimal vibration.

My friend has a b17 swapped in a hatch with the hasport mounts, these vibrate too much for me. The car just dosen't seem smooth.

I say go with the inserts if anything.

I've heard that installing just the front lower torque mount inserts and skipping the rear insert will cause that unwanted extra vibration. I have all three inserts in and my car's not bad at all.

Yeah, alot of vibration but no wheel hop. You either get used to it or they kinda lose some of the stiffness.

My wife complains about the vibration in hatch crap all the time.
She says she would get carpal tunnel syndrome if she drove it.

What's funny is when I take her out, we go in hatch crap, valet parking and all. lol

Just get the mounts, it'll lower your ETs.

I got all 3 mount inserts installed and the vibration is very minimal. You'll only feel it at idle but its nothing crazy. Does a good job of getting rid of wheel hop

No engine motion, no wheel hop.

of course its going to vibrate. you are putting in poly mounts or inserts to transfer all the vibrations and 'torque twist' (not sure how to describe it) of the motor to the ground not the stock, sloppy mounts. I suppose everyone who doesnt like the mounts rides on stock suspension too because anything else is too bumpy or annoying?

I have all the ES inserts, and the vibration isnt bad. I got used to it, and for dates if your girl can't accept a little vibrations in the seat of her pants...then iono.

Im rocking the Innovative's. Snug fit, great quality still have to install the rear, and car vibrates quite a bit, but I really dont mind.

On my old car (99 Si) I had ES inserts in the bottom 3 and PR replacement mounts for the top two.

Couldn't be happier. BARELY noticeable increase in vibration, and wheel hop no more.

New car has solid mounts. Just a TAD noticeable.

my gf's 94 gsr has only the lower 2 ES inserts right now and they vibrate at idle and under acceleration but worth it to minimize the wheel hop.

not really. i had both no difference. however with prothane you will vs the energy. prothane is almost like a hard plastic.

No. Just color. Prothane are MUCH harder durometer then ES.

ya i have the 75a innovative track mounts with avid tq mounts. the car rattles and vibrates like a son of a bitch . but it makes the girls wet so its ok. plus the engine movement is eliminated along with the wheel hop.

had all 3 es inserts on my ek4, no wheel hop and basically little motor movement meant better feel when givin car some stick. vibration throughout cabin was annoying and in the end i removed the front 2 and left rear in.

just tiny bit of vibration now which i barely notice. its compromise at the end of the day and what you want/willing to put up with

I had Energy Suspension inserts on the front and sides of my 91 Integra. The vibration was noticeable but not overly obstructive. There was a huge difference from before since my front one was torn and I didn't even know it. I definitely like the inserts. If your engine doesn't vibrate like crazy, your car isn't going to vibrate too much.
