Default So I went to go visit my good friend Brian "D16Z6TURBO".....

Well after a day of working at the shop... I decided to roll by Brians and see what he was doing. As I pulled up and saw his garage door was open. His truck was in there ... and he was under it working away. I pulled behind his car and then walked up his kinda steep driveway into the garage. He was replacing the U joints so I grabbed a rag and headed to my car to check my oil. Just as I got tot he car i hear this gut wrenching scream kinda calling my name. I turned around to see his truck quietly hauling *** down the driveway at me at about 15 mph... and picking up speed real damn quick!. I jumped out of the way just in time to watch this....

Pushed my car about 6 feet

Well... it took me a second to realize that Brian was still under the truck when it happened. Let me the first to point out that if he did not warn me... I would have been dead.

He was under the truck and as it rolled forward. He had disconnected the drive shaft and that is what let it loose. Brian is normally real damn good about putting a stop under the tire. Just slipped his mind this time. He was holding his hand and it all looked pretty bad. The truck had started rolling and he managed to tuck in his legs.... his hand was squished between his chest and the rear diff. So we rolled out to the hospital . He was ok.. just his hand was pretty tore up and we both needed a change of underwear.

Brotha Brian and his woman

me... real mad... but not at Brian. Just that it happened

And after all that... still homies

Please do not respond with any remarks about him not using stops... like I said before... he usually does... ALL THE TIME. Make no mistake... if this was a habit of his I would have not even parked there. I would gladly wrench next to him still to this day.... any day of the week!

So... it is gonna suck, cause I know his insurance will not give me crap for my car. I will prob buy it back since it has the motor and other parts on. One thing that does suck.... my turbo manifold just came in today

if the truck was only doing 15 miles per hour i wonder what it would be like if you got T-Boned at 30 or 50 by a truck this makes me scared looking at the pics only going 15mph

Haha, everytime I get into my Civic HB, I pray that I don't get T-boned (Not joking either!).

agh! that hurts me man, good luck with whatever comes next. Hopefully this was meant to be.... maybe youll find something you would have never found if this didnt happen, just trying to say...look on the bright side and be optimistic. I wrecked my brand new wrx like 8 months back, but it took me out of debt, saved my relationship with my girl, let me go to school more, led me to my first honda, and made me happier. And like everyone else said, glad you are okay because if that truck made your car move 6 ft, what could it have done to you?

Hopefully this will save someone else from making the same mistake. Glad you're both OK. Oh, and that close up shot of his finger really wasnt necessary .

when it actually hit.... it was doing about 25 mph

yeah I hope I can find another rex or EG hatch to build on. I know the inssurance is gonna try and screw me. I am gonna keep my eyes peeled for cars with the same mods so that if the insurance tries to low ball me, I have other examples to present as to why i feel it is worth more.

that sucks for both of you.

In CA, you arent allowed to park in front of driveways the way that CRX was.

now i know why.

its definitely not paint its because some idiot keeps checking the curb with the tire. apparently someone cant drive.

Yup that is rubbing the curb and now the white for the white lettering/white wall is showing.

That really sucks man. Im really glad to see that nobody got hurt

I was working under my car one time and it fell off the jackstands. I was under the front of it tightening down my traction bars when it slipped off the jackstands and rolled towards me. I had bricks under the back wheels but it didnt help at all...the car just rolled over them. If the front bumper wouldnt have hit the porch and stopped the car...i wolda been killed. I was still trapped under the car between the oil pan and the porch to the shop. It was the second scariest thing thats ever happened to me. When my friend came out of the house and saw it he just started screaming and going ape **** crazy trying to pull the car off of me. If he wasnt there i wouldve died really slowly because the oil pan was restricting the movement of my chest...which in turn restricted my breathing.

Its things like this that make you really understand the importance of safety. If you forget one little thing it can have a drastic outcome. Thank god that you were spared and learn from your mistakes

BTW-My friend that got me out from under the car(drewsrt on here) was going crazy trying to figure out how to get me out. Finally he grabbed the bumper support and lifted the front of the car enough to get me out(5-6"). He tried it again a few weeks later and couldnt even lift it 3". I dont know where he found that strength but im glad that he did

Yeah were all pretty thankful had it gone ANY differently we probably wouldnt be here to talk about it! One slightly FU^%%$ finger is awesome in comparison to what could have been. Even though i just woke up and the codeine obviously wore off cause this **** hurts like hell!
