Default New equipment - bender/notcher/blah blah... blah

Just pictures of some new crap we bought at the shop -

JD2 Model 4 Bender w/ air power (Trick-Tools was backordered on the electric for a couple of weeks, didn't notify us, took a month and a half to get it )

Make's nice bends though - 1 3/4" x .095" 4130

No more blown off intercooler pipes

Toolbox my boss bought me

Got these to punch holes in up to .125" sheet for cage reinforcements

Notcher we picked up used (demo), has dies for up to 3" (just in case we need to make a cage of out 3" I guess ) Makes a notch in under 5 seconds .

No more wearing my business suit while doing cages .

I made a sweet cart for it.

Ok, i'm jealous of the notcher!! How long does the belt last on that thing? And does that die set really work up to .125"? How much was that set?

Haven't went through a belt yet, I've only done like 20 notches with it so far. Belt still looks good though.

Trick Tools advertises that the dimple dies will do up to .125". Haven't even gotten to use it yet. Should be sometime within the next couple weeks on the next cage I'm starting (E36 BMW M3 setup for BMWCCA spec class). They were on sale slightly cheaper I believe ($375 maybe?) when we bought them but they're selling the set for $450 now.

Wow nice stuff! that Notcher is impressive indeed!

I have that same dimple die set and it works great. Havent done anything thicker than 16g with it, but i wouldnt doubt it could do .120 like it says they can.

That's what I'm thinking when he say "my boss brought me this tool box." That is sweet man. I wish I had a boss that loves me that much to buy me a box... Nice new tools you have there too.

Where are you located by the way backpurge? Nevermind IL...

I have the same bead roller. The way you have it mounted, you are going to have trouble beading a 90 or 45 degree bend because it will hit the table.

I suggest making a small table to mount it so that what your beading will have room to spin..

later,
Josh

Yeah, technically even if it's just elevated on a 6" x 6" platform I'm going to have problems with some sort of bends. Going to try to figure out what will work best once I run into interferances.
