Default Looking for a new exhaust **searched**

Well i searched and got nothing i thought id find something but i didnt , im trying to help my dad find a good exhaust for his S2000 . Yea i know its cheasy but whatever , anyways this is what we have narrowed it down too

Comptech
Apex'i world sport
neuspeed

Hes in his mid 40's and obviously isnt looking for anything too crazy just a nice deep tone , which is why ive picked out all the systems with oval muffler designs instead of big 4" tip cans . So anyone that has any personal experience chime in and help me out , especially sound clips thats what he really wanted .

Thanks everyone

Yea i did see one HKS with an oval design , that was kind of pricey too . Would you say the comptech is worth its $1100 price tag ?

HKS and the Fujitsubo are both great sounding exhausts

Out of those 3 i'd pick Comptech; but you should also look into the Fujitsubo Legalis-R

Did you read the original post? He wants low key sound, and doesn't care about power gains. Being in his 40s, $1100 wouldn't faze him too much.

Context comprehension, that's what college is for.

I bet half of you couldn't maximize a bone-stock S's performance; 3 hp gain wouldn't do **** for you, neither would another 5hp.

Vote #30 for Comptech...Neuspeed? I have never met one person who had a Neuspeed exhaust on an S2000.

If you are going to spend $1000+ on an exhaust go with Mugen. The Comptech gives no real weight reduction and may even cost a few ponies up top dispite their claims otherwise (research on S2ki.com). At least Mugen weighs half the stock exhaust and won't rob power.

Careful with any of the singles...the only one I've ever heard that was not uncomfortably loud is the T1R 63mm. And it is still loud for most folks.

Careful of the Invidia...it is very boomie between 3k-4k.

Many aftermarket exhausts for the s2k only add sound. A few are significantly lighter. Many actually cost power...very few have shown real power increases.

Yea the comptech is looking real good right now , hes not looking to half *** it . But then again power gains arent important to him either , nothing more than a weekend cruiser kept in immacualte condition . Hell id be suprised if its ever even seen the redline more than once or twice . So like i said he's just looking for a nice low deep tone , i found the neuspeed exhaust and showed it to him just because every neuspeed i have experience with has a real nice tone .

I was thinking about that "kit". The Sports kit you showed had bullet mufflers.
