Default AWD 4g civic, can it be done?

Wadup bros, has anyone with a 4g civic converted the fwd version to a AWD from using drivetrain from 89up AWD wagon. I know it would be laborus but with modication of drivetrain, undercaraige and rear end I beleive it can work and i know i cant be the first to have ever thought of trying this. My goal is an AWD boosted civic. Hola back if you know a link or post i need to dig into.

Cyo.

there is a rallyx crx up in the north west that did it... i think it gained 150lbs and he did it purely to get out of the corners in the mud.

THIS IS ME HOLA'ING BACK, SEARCH! If you have to ask it'll never happen. Get something that is already AWD. Do ruin a 88-91 Civic.

ya it can be done BUT I have built 2~ cars a year for the last 10~ years most of which are very labour intensive most with custom built parts but I never thought my "trailer park rally car" would be this much work. 1991 civic hatch awd turbo with 88 wagovan parts. I dont have any recent pics but here you go.

Aren't the rear diff really weak in those? Not to mention to distribution power sucks. Most of the power is still at the front I believe.

How does the power distribution suck? the rear gets a solid 10% and when there is slipage the viscous coupler locks up from there adding more to the rear(more it slips the more it locks up). I know many people that run wagons with 10 psi on a6's and dohc zc's that do dry pavement 4wd launchs without problems. I by no means think this thing will be a drag car or rally car or drift car, it is what it is, a fun winter beater, but thanks .
