Best solution? Install VSS or something which will generate same signal as VSS.

First step is to put an electric VSS from a 92+ civic into your crx. Civics and CRXs are pretty much the same thing, btw. Then look into this thread for all the info I have posted on doing the cluster swap, look at the last few pages.

we're all honda fans, and here at honda-tech were fans of SEARCHING and not being a ******** child demanding information.

people who do that should be f*cked with.

you need a 92+ d-series VSS, you install it, and run athe signal wire to the cluster, but then you are NOT FINISHED.

THEN you need a converter to convert the civic vss pulses into something the sk2 cluster can display properly.

they sell these units on ebay, and im repeating info thats all easily found on here.

your performing a visual mod, and you didnt do your homework. on a real basic level, its not any better then a stock si cluster. they both perform the same functions, the s2000 cluster is all digital and very nice looking.

that is why you do somehting like this, but since the temp and vss are different in how the obd2 electronics and the ecu are involved in the s2000 that you got the cluster from, you cant just hook it up wire to wire and have all the features work properly.

if you want, you can also send the cluster out to have it modified to accept stock honda sensors, (vss and temp guage) theres a man named mark who performs these conversions, his web site is here:
