Default tranny choice for turbo gsr

im wondering if b16 gearing is too short for a turbod b18c1?it seems perfect for all motor gsr's but i think its too tall for turbo set ups.i plan on running about 240-300 hps on a street car.it will be drag raced as well.i heared ls with lsd and treated syncros is the way to go.thanks for any replies peeps.

if your just looking for drag racing then the b16 would be ideal. shorter gears equals better 1/4 mile times.

but for highway driving you are going to want an LS for the longer fifth.

Shorter gears=getting into power gears quicker

I run an LS with a Quaife, ACT XTR6 & ACT Streetlite Flywheel and I love it, the LS does wonders for driving around town and I dont really think it hurts my car in acceleration that much.

and every .10 cent counts in my pocket.... I drive a street car and having owned an LS, GSR and 00 R I definately prefer the LS on the street for traction purposes and the long 5th gear.

GSR. stock internals with a Quaife.

Why is this still a question that comes up?

if the car is used as a DD and on the HWY a lot, I'd choose an LS.

B16 for drag racing, GSR for a street/strip car, LS for a paper weight lol.
