So, is the light in the bumper or tail light? Do you want to see a picture of the light in the bumper or tail light? I've never heard of a fog light in the tail light Why would you want or need a fog lamp on the rear of the car?

For all that want to know the purpose of the rear fog light, it is so that the car behind you can see you during heavy fog conditions. For example, in Italy where I live it gets really foggy in the morning to the point where you can barely see your hood. So if there is a car a pretty good distance ahead of you and they have a rear fog light, you will be able to see them from really far, the taillights are not bright enough for you to see the car in front of you. It is a mandatory thing to have in Europe, that's why the EDM cars come equipped with rear fog lights.

Here is what it looks like, it is an extra light bulb located inside the left inner tail light. They come on the EG hatch and EJ coupe like this. It is really hard to tell the difference between the ones without and the ones with the extra bulb, unless the fog light is on. Also the fog light switch is shaped differently from the jdm switch.

Only where is not useful. But it is a very good safety item to have, at least it is if you dont want to get rear ended.
