I have to replace my driver outside door handle because it is broken. Is this a hard fix or cake. I haven't taken the door panel off yet to see. I searched for the topic also.
it a piece of cake...if you have an EX model, there is a shield that you have to take of before you can take off the actually door handle...but it basically 2 x 10mm bolt and that shield if you have it. and one bolt that is connected to the lock, but that is a twist off
good luck bro.
good luck bro.

Which year and model Civic?
I don't believe it's going to be as easy as one, two, three...
Yes, there are the two 10mm bolts that hold it in, you will also need to remove the retaining clip that holds the key cylinder in place. The rod connected to the key lock cylinder should be fairly straightforward to remove. The only real issue should be removing the joint from the plastic bushing so that you can remove the door handle. If you can't pry out the joint w/o breaking it there are two methods to go about getting the door handle off. You can remove the three screws on the side of the door (they hold in place the door lock) and lift the rod up more to be able to unscrew the handle from the rod or you can just keep prying with a flat head.
*** if you decide to unscrew the handle from the rod, get a permanent marker and mark the top on bottom position of the joint on the rod. If this is not properly marked, you won't be able to open the door from the outside because there will either not be enough leverage to lift the joint up to unlock from the outside or it will be too high and will not close properly cause the lock will never engage.
