it's pretty common sense stuff.

must not have engine or tranny leaks
must have battery tie down
must have working seat belts
must have blow down for nitrous tanks
Must be wearing at least pants and shoes covering toes

**** like that....

If you're running an 11.99 or faster, that's a different story

im not going to say where. but where we run here they are sooo lazy. they dont check anything. one a guy went through with some steel belts showing on his rear wheels, missing a couple lug nuts. and they never check under your hood. its crazy. o well. im not going to rain on their party. prolly one o the only tracks you would hear of that happenning

It's not a big secret, i'm sure your talking about Bithlo. Most tracks only tech is the ability for you to hand over $10 to the old guy at the gate.

don't forget now you need a jacket if your car is turbo, sc or n02

And yes you have to pop your hood a lot of times. I hear they also run your check to make sure you have papers for the motor and tranny in your car

Does Maple Grove make us do all of that? I'd like to run there this year. Just want a heads up before I get sent home without being able to run.

I think it is any NHRA track. But the best thing to do is call the track and ask them. I know at maple grove you don't need a helmet if you are under 14's but in NJ you do.

I used to live in Titusville, went there often. Don't worry about it, we have 3 tracks here local that don't tech either. Bithlo hasn't teched in years, everybody knows it and they will never change it for street night.

At the tracks here you simply hand them a tech card and they put a number on your window. They do check for helmets on 13 second cars and cages for 11.50 or faster though.

ive never seen any techs ask questions about the motors and having papers. they aren't the police, they are track techs.

They usually look at reg stuff safety wise for your car. If you are going faster its a whole diff game. But it also depends on the day, the tech, the techs mood, the track ect. Ive rolled thru Tech at maple Grove without them even looking once at my ITR. .. at all.
**** they didnt even really look at my Supra either.
