I dont think that 190 whp is achievable with what you have. You should go with stage 2 cams, mill the head and use flat face valves to achieve a higher compression which is needed for stage 2 cams. Port and polish, hondata or tuning device and your going to need new valve springs also. It costs a lot of money to get a couple extra hp out of ur car.

BTW, what header do u have. I hope it is not a dc, greddy, megan etc. If you want the most hp possible, you have to spend a lot more $ and go with a RMF, DTR, SMSP, hytech etc...

You might hit 180 tops with what u have with a good tune.

He was saying dc, megan are all the same.

You need to get a header that Actually has a pricetag,
Look at the different headers they have here.

You wont "Smoke" a type r with 180 whp. You may get about 1-1.5 car lengths on it up to 80 mph.

I believe ur dc 4-1 only has a 2 inch collector. The ones i have posted are all custom Header...not header"s" on our 4 cyl. motors. They cost any where from 650-up to 1100. Now some of them are ps compatable and some arnt. Search for "RMF" "DTR" "SMSP" and you will find a lot of info on them. There is also a "ALL MOTOR" section on H-T and you will find better answers there than here. Just dont make a post saying "what header should i get?" It will be locked and you will get flamed for making the 1000TH same post on a header. Search is ur friend. Lots of info for you to find and learn.

Also, what cat are you runnin? I rec u get a high flow one with 2.5 flanges on it since ur exhaust setup is bottlenecked now. (I assume u have a 2.33-2.5 inch cat back...3 is way to big..i hope you dont have that)

although it is "easier" to make power with a turbocharged car its still quite difficult to produce 600+ hp to the wheels. Alot of tuning and modifications are needed.

Anyways, If I was trying to produce 190hp i'd mill the head, port/polish, .5 oversize valves , stiffer valve springs, comp cams, ITB's, remove all accesories off the crank, and some dyno time, i'd see this being feasible

you can get 190 whp. but you would need to PORT polish and get stiffer valve springs, and hondata tuned and you would get 190 whp. i got 190 HP on dyna pak which is to the hub with everything you have but wihtout port /polish and stock valve train on stage 1 skunk

see my sig for the dyno chart. And that's with the cam gears untouched and a shitty jdm 4-1 header and stock itr muffler. 190whp shouldn't be too far of a reach

IMO, an itr header is still 300-400 bucks, and won't gain you as much power. A cheap budget "real" header is the profab header, goin for around 450. Next tier you come to would be the Rage/Hytech(production) headers goin for around 600-700 bucks. If you are serious about hitting the 190whp mark, the JDM ITR 4-1 and any of it's copycat headers ain't gonna cut it.

not to be a dick but it seems to me that you dont evan understand how to make power so why would you be hating on people that understand one of the only real ways to make a good amount of power out of a wimpy 1.8 4 banger?
