HybridKOOP #2 - The Rebirth! - Connecticut 750WHP Street Terrorist.
Howdy!
Most of you who are reading this already know me (probably from when I lived in Florida). At age 27, I have decided to build yet another Honda (car #19!). I am building this car for street/track use, and will compete in some of the East Coast NHRA events (SFWD class).
I've been working on the car for about 2 months now. Every single thing done on this car was done with my own 2 hands (and sometimes my girlfriend's). Through the build, I've learned how to TIG weld, MIG weld, do bodywork, and paint. I already knew how to build motors, do swaps etc. from past cars. The car has been a lot more work than anticipated (isn't it always?).
Here's the skinny on this car:
'93 Civic EX Coupe
GSR longblock (worked.)
~ 750 FWHP
GT40R
JDM ITR 5-lug suspension
JDM ITR 16" wheels
USDM ITR wheels up front with 235/60/R15's
Dupont Championship White paint inside and out
Full wire tuck
Shaved side moldings/antenna/trunk lock/emblems/squirters
10-point S&W cage painted gold, fully molded to floor
S2K black leather seats
And obviously the list goes on and on, but I won't bore you. Here are a couple of pictures from tonight. This weekend, I primed the driver side rear quarter panel, roof, door jamb, inside of door, front quarter. My goal is to have the entire car primed for paint before I leave next weekend for Aruba!
The building of this car has been physically and mentally draining. I'd like to thank my girlfriend for putting up with me working on this 24/7, as well as my family for putting up with the messes that I've been making! I will post updates pretty much weekly. I plan to be ready for action by the summer.

Thanks! Since my last '94 DX Coupe I always wanted to do another white one without the moldings (like a CX/VX). It's going to look so clean in white, dumped on gunmetal ITR's (I hope!).

Slaughter,
I designed the front A-pillar bars to go around the dash for ease of paintwork inside of the car. I could have gone through the dash, but I don't like the idea of cutting the dash apart, etc. NHRA doesn't specify anything about being able/not being able to put a bend or two in the 10-point front section.
Thank you for the compliments!
