GSR exhaust to short in Civic swap
Hey all, I've read through almost all the posts in the Hybrid forum here. Somebody mentioned that when you put a B18C1 into a 5th gen Civic, the header will not reach the cat. What do most people do to fill the gap? Just get a muffler shop to fill it? What about getting a GSR cat. Could you buy a high flow GSR cat to make up the difference. Thanks and keep it real.

make the cut by the connecting area of the exhaust and go to the auto parts shop with the piece the is cut and ask for a pipe and clamps that will fit.

Either which way you go about it you're gonna come up short or long depending on what model you have. I have the GSR motor and cat on in my 92 VX with custom 2.25" piping and a Tanabe Racing Medallion canister. The VX has the cat built in the manifold so my stock exhaust was too long. I chopped it down and made it fit until I got to the exhaust shop.

Make sure you have some fun on the way to the muffler shop your cars going to be loud as hell. There is this house near me that always has there parties. On this day they had a bunch of Harley's there boy where they shocked to hear my civc race by and up the street and around the block down the other street around the corner and so on...
