Ok guys well I'm going to probably buy a 97 D16Y8 head and want to make sure it's actually the Y8 head. Is there something that I should look for to help me determine the heads apart? Also what should I look for to tell if it's in good shape?

If you get the valve cover with the head the D16Z6 will have VTEC written on it, the other valve head just has honda.

 

y8 has square combustion chamber and the z6 has roound just look at the bottom of the head.

 

So it should literally be square down there, as opposed to round??
