B16b+M22x+Spoon exhaust = xxx whp?? (dyno inside)
uhmmm clean hatch...no i know why is "clean rice"
numbers wise...i dunno...check this out..https://honda-tech.com/zerothread?id=1522007
he's stock...
sounds similar to the B16 i built for a customer of mine.
173whp with m22s at 9200RPM is where they peaked
good stuff as always from robert. you cant really judge this motor until you get a real intake and exhaust on it. Def make more. good job man, B16s are hard to get good power out of

That's my dyno there. I agree with this guy. Something's definitely holding you back. Maybe it is the stock intake and exhaust manifold?
Thanks for posting though, I'll look into those cams. B16B's all about top end power.
Oh, and please resist the temptation. Don't boost that motor.
Just playing, do what you want. B16Bs are great NA motors but they're not that rare anyways.

As far as I know Dave does not build a manifold for a 1.6, so thats why I said the Toda. I have yet to see a Toda beaten on a dyno in a 1.6 app.

Haha, thanks for the compliment. As for that dyno above, yeah he's running an intake but I think the biggest part is that he was tuned by Chris from HOOKUPS. Chris is a very good tuner and definetly knows what he's doing, the guy that "tuned" my car thought a K20A3 was the same motor as a B16
There is definetly more power in the motor, just hafta find a better tuner is all.

Seen the car in person. The pics don't do it justice! Looks like you got the top-end and some mid-range to boot. Resist the temptation for boost and stick with NA.

You have seen it? Thankyou for the compliment man. As for future plans, I have no idea. If it stays a 1.6, I wanna sleeve it to 86mm and keep the M22's and have a rev-happy, strong top end motor. If Brad has the time, he will get the head, otherwise it will go to Rocket for a port job. My roomate does however have a 89 crank with Scat rods that are just layin around, so it's real tempting to do a 89x86 and M24x's with a big-tube SMS. But a boosted ctr motor would be really cool also, I haven't seen too many of those. I love n/a and how they feel, but I wanna boost my car cuz I don't wanna have ANY problems with those damn SRT-4's or anything. I'm afraid that if I build a big n/a motor that I might have a hard time beating a Neon, and I HATE those ****** things hahahaha.
I guess if I were convinced that a 220whp(mild n/a) motor would handle a SRT-4, then I would do it, but I think it would be cool to hand a Vette it's *** too! Not that I do allot of street racing or anything ,I've learned my lesson with that..I'm an old man now Hahahahaha Thankyou for the compliments fellas

Yep! I'm the proud owner of a set of pro1's. I'll keep you posted on the build to see if the srt's and vette's are easy-cheesy!

A few other cars they had layin around. This is a 8.3 liter Viper that was blown runnin on C16, damn thing wouldn't idle under 1,500 rpms. They were waitin to get it runnin right before they dyno'd it, 950+ rwhp.
This was a true, and I have never seen one before, Hennesey Viper(sp?). Thing was twin turbo'd, never got to hear it run or what #'s they were lookin for it to put out.
And they're drag car. Runs consistent low 9's, they said it was quite a task trying to keep it in a straight line with that 6-speed gear box. Sick Supra though.
Good times

Oh it would've gone higher, but the stock air box and the exhaust manifold were choking it. It was basically leveling off at 8,700, so we set the limiter at 9 and called it good. I love the cams though
