The radio is giving me this ERR-3 code, I looked in the manual and it says it is a cd changer malfunction and to go to a dealer to get it checked out.

Anybody know how to fix this because the neither the radio or CD player works and I don't feel like going to the dealer.

 

Reset the battery and see if that helps.

Yeah, both the CD player and AM/FM radio does not work. Just displays ERR--3.

I'll try to reset the battery when I get home.

 

Disconnect the positive & negative battery terminals from the battery & touch the negative battery terminal to the positive with them both disconnected

then reconnect the battery terminals and then input your radio code

 

you need to input your radio security code.

 

alright i did what you guys said. it worked.

but now the car won't start.

when i turn the ignition, no noise. the radio which is playing goes out.

no clue.
