AEM CAI for a LS on an ITR?

Before you guys jump on me, please read on.

Would it make a difference if I ran the AEM CAI from an LS that has a 2.75" diameter rather than the ITR AEM that has a 3" diameter? Is the throttle body different or something else ?

The reason is that I may get hooked up with one for pratically nothing. I searched but couldn't really find anything relevant to the subject. Just wondering and again, thanks in advance.

not really.

The ITR t-body is only like 4mm bigger than the stock LS/GSR t-body

I have one, same situation (free), the car runs faster than most R's with comparable mods

You have the LS AEM on your ITR or your GSR?

actually I was talking about my friends itr..
all his car has an ls aem intake /w a greddy exhaust and it runs 14.3 @ 96 on crappy yoko s306 street tires..
pretty damn quick for what he has...
it looks silly... you can actually stick the intake inside the throttle body... yuck, but it seems to work.. it is ugly..he has some purocil on the aem, then biger purocil on top of that going to the tb...
