Im not sure? -=P Wont hurt to ask, but usually deals in stores are cheapers? If online is cheaper, they will usually match the onlines prices.

the reason that it says ONLY GOOD IN REATAIL STORES: is becuase harbor frieght was started by 2 brothers who at one time didnt see eye to eye on certain things and decided to go different ways and from my understanding one of them runs the retail stores and one runs the online portion. this is why some prices are different in the store then on the web

I look forward to their email weekly, lol I usually print out 5 or 6 and take them with me to the store. You see somebody looking at a $700 lathe or welder and then you hand them a coupon. Good deed for the day taken care of.

Later

wohoo. Race jack, reg 99.99. Sale in store for 79.99. Bring them web sale page which says 69.99, they honor it. Then give them 20% off coupon. Race Jack = $60 after tax too. It's about time I got one. Of course magically when I came out of the store, an old guy has backed his f-150 into my front bumper of my 99 SI daily driver. WTF? Ah well, got his info, everything should be all good.

Better hurry, I was told today was the last day of the sale on the race jack. $60 still happy about it. Hell they're like 90-100 on ebay even.

I ended up getting the steel 2 1/4 ton jack, cost me like 33 bucks with tax after the coupon and stuff. Its like 70 pounds, but they were out of the race jack and they wouldn't give me a raincheck for the coupon also (i work in retail, so i understand, not mad about that). I'll just wait for another coupon and when it goes on sale again then ill pick it up.

You gotta watch out on some of the **** for sure. Some of it is garbage. For example, I bought a ball joint splitter for 1.99. The first ball joint I went to split, it bent on me. Some of the stuff is OK though, but you gotta be picky. For instance, a cordless impact wrench for $50 bux.....You just know it's gunna be a piece of ****.

Without Harbor Freight, a lot of us would not be able to afford the equipment that we have. I've bought a few hand tools from HF, mostly bigass crescent wrenches, t-handle allen wrenches, and a bunch of automotive specialty stuff that goes for Big $$$ on the tool trucks. I haven't been disappointed. I just recently decided that I needed a lathe, so I bought the little 7x12. There are some modifications and a lot of adjustments that are necessary before the tool works like it should, but in the end its a fine tool. I then bought the 4x6 horizontal bansaw and the mini-mill. The mill worked bitchin right out of the box, the bandsaw needed some help. If you are a creative individual, you will figure out how to make HF tools work great. If you want to buy tools and use the hell out of them without adjustments/modifications/maintenance, HF is not for you. I'm still kinda stoked that I put together a full machine shop (at least a mini one) in my garage for less than $1000.
