Default ebrake light comes on.. sporadically

ever since i changed the FRONT brake pads.. my ebrake light would come on.. even if it wasnt engaged..

sometimes it wont come on.. sometimes itll come on only after driving alittle..

the ebrake itself still feels tight, and works good.. not like the cable is loose. not sure what happened..

is this a common problem in ITRs?

btw i have a 2000

Check your fluid level.

I believe this issue is common with Type R's and it usually hits the board when the temperature drops. Try searching and I know you will find some more info on this topic......

This can also be the guage in the brake fluid reservoir. I think the floatation material looses its "floatiness" after awhile.

Another point to note is the float sensor. Sometimes it get's stuck. Jiggle it a bit if the fluid level is ever on par and you still get the light.
