Default 2006 Navi Si ---?

has anyone been able to get the new si with navi. I put a deposit down on one a month and a half ago and the dealer tells me that my order has been kicked out twice.

I talked to my local honda dealer, the rep told me she has a black si with navi in stock, set up an appointment to test drive it tomorrow morning. Ill let ya know if it in fact has navi, and also how it went.

Last week, I was checking out the SI's and one dealership in Anaheim had 3 in stock. One with navi and the others without. I was surprised they had 3 on the lot! I think I would rather save the money and get upgrades later for it than add the navi.

its much better to go w/o navi and then do an after market install yourself. You will be saving a lot of money that could be spent on other things.

That is your opinion. I could say the same for buying a old civic and swapping it because it will be faster. There are reasons people buy new with factory installed items so let them.

The demand is too high for the Navi. The navi factory is having a hard time producing them. Some cars have been pushed back 2-3 months if you have a deposit on them.

^^ Which is why im glad I waited and got my Black Si w/ nav. My dealer told me it would be in by mid December.... then before the first of January.... I got my build date from rowdawg on ToV which was 1/4 - 1/8 car came in on the 19, trust me its well worth the wait, find out your build date then the car will be in a few weeks following.... if your lucky like me Resale value will pwn so hard for the navs. Oh and I will post some pics this weekend, it poured all of last weekend here so better luck this week... hopefully

a factory navigation is nice to have just for the fact that it tends to be more user friendly also b/c it's protected under warranty.

My friend (parts mngr, and regonial parts ceo) said there is no problems whatsoever with the navigation system provider. This has been mentioned before, dont let the dealer under-sell you.

Does teh navi upgrade any of the stereo system? Speakers etc.? Not really seeing a need for the navi but if the whole stereo system is upgraded it might be worth it. The stock 350 watt radio seemed pretty good on my test drive.

With the navi you get XM too (i think)

I put a deposit down in Nov for mine with navi. I was #6 on the list at that dealership and found out now that my car will be here in march if i want one without Navi and with Navi who knows when it will show up.... decided to take the one in march and throw in a Pioneer Avic Z1 Navi/DVD/Satelitte Radio unit, i advise others to do something similar, i mean factory nav would be nice to avoid any warranty issues, i spoke with my service manager and he told me as long as whatever i install doesnt damage other stuff than im good, even said so with alarm. I know some dealerships arent that cool about aftermarket stuff.

well i got some good news. when my dealership called me last week to tell me that they wernt able to order it with navi, i told them i dont want the car unless it has Navi, and i was pretty firm about it. they call me back today to tell me that they were able to order one today. for some reason they stressed that they were only able to order "one" and since i was first on the list i got the first one from that dealership with navigation. well i got mine in fiji blue as well, it should be here in March. cant wait!
