Mugen CBR1000
I'll try to get some more pics loaded soon. The 40 thousand differenr types of light at the Tokyo Auto Salon wrecked havoc on all of the photographers. This pic was taken with a Sony DSC-R1. The white balance was set to auto because nothing else worked. I'll try to dig up the spec sheet for this bike too.

Looks pretty plain to me. I wonder if they're going to seriously get into Honda motorcycle parts? I'm sure they could be pretty successful if they did. Of course, for the prices they charge...
Mugen has been producing motorcycle parts for years. Many of the 2 stoke NSR250/400/500 used Mugen parts. Mugen also made lots of parts for the ATC200X, ATC250R,TRX250R, and CR85/125/250/500. I have been seeing a lot of CBR900/929/954/1000 parts on Yahoo japan lately and I saw a Mugenized CRF450R Super Motorad while cruising around in Roppongi after getting beat up by horny old photographers at the car show.
I will add more pics tomorrow. These will not be the best pics because it took me a while to figure out the correct camera settings for Makuhari Messe and I only had a a couple days of fiddling time with the Sony DSC-R1. I will be using paint.net to brighten the pics that are too dark. I wll be glad when my english manual and CD's arrive.

They made parts for the GP machines? The NSR 500 was never sold to the public AFAIK.

Not bad but defiently nothing to call home about. I think the polished wheels ruin it. Money cant buy taste I guess. Dee was it fully done up everything mugen or what was all done to it.

Yes, they made parts for GP machines and all of the other bikes I mentioned are readily available to to general public.
Mugen CRM250R on Yahoo. Mugen ECU, Mugen pipe and silencer, Mugen tuned suspension, Mugen wheel package and more. CRM is a streetable version of the CR with ECM controlled oil injection that is similar to the NSR.
I will try to find more info on the Mugen bikes.
Mugen Bike parts.. sorry, Japanese link
Mugen is also REALLY big on the racing cart scene.

AH ok, I was about to say...if there is an NSR 500 that is sold to the public I might have to change some priorities in my life
.

NSR400's were sold to the general public but they are ugly as hell. There's a guy on the mail island who grafted an NSR400 motor into an MC21 NSR250 frame. I'll try to find the links to that page too.
Mugen parts on the Honda Japan Bike site
I know the CRF450R parts exist but they are not on the Honda site.

This bike did not have all of the parts listed on the Honda Bike site and it supposed had a tuned ECM.

Sorry, the other CBR1000 pics that I have are mondo NASTY so will not be uploading. If the bike is at the Osaka show I will make sure I get better pics.
Here's a bike for the guys who want to be slow and close to the ground. JDM mini chopper.

Because HRC is Honda's bike racing devision AFAIK. And as for parts on the orange motard, I couldn't see anything but a showa front fork. If it's a mugen tuned suspension, it's probably only by name and doesn't use any mugen designed parts.
The CRM250 Motard(Motorad in Japan) is an ECM controlled oil injection motor. The Mugen ECM contains a rewritten map for the IG and oil injection. Mugen has been using Showa suspension that is built to their specs for years (this is common knowledge). The Excel wheels built to Mugen's specs and the exhaust parts are in-house Mugen items. Anything else?
When did we start talking about HRC?

Modified by Dee at 8:14 PM 1/24/2006</TD></TR></TABLE> FOR MANY YEARS (MY DAD HAS PICKS OF CR'S FROM THE 70'S) MUGEN HAS BEEN TUNING HONDA RACE BIKES. BUT RARELY DO THEY MAKE THEIR OWN ORIGINAL PARTS LIKE ON THE AUTOS. AS SAID ABOVE THE USUALLY BUY THE RACE PARTS FROM HRC AND THE REST OF THE HONDA CONGLOMERATE AND THEN THEY FURTHER REFINE THEN TO THEIR OWN SPECS AND CHARACTERISTICS.
IF I CAN FIND THE PICS AGAIN OF THE OG MOTOCROSSERS I WILL POST THEM. ALL WHITE HONDA CR'S, ALL WHITE BOOTS, HELMETS, PANTS, GLOVES, JERSEYS AND JUST A BIG MUGEN ACROSS THE CHEST. WHAT I WOULDNT GIVE FOR THAT JERSEY.
