are you sure about that cause i just did 3 secs of searching and the motor looks like any other d sereis..of for any of the *** hats that try to say something hers a link with PICS!!! http://www.hondaswap.com/forum...52613
as far as puttting a vtec head on it, i would have to go with yes on this.. BUT i strongly belive that it would be a waste of time, money, and effort...

i also turbo'd the d14... but the turbo took a **** on me.... and blowed the seals. i sent it to the US for a rebuild but your customs compound it from some reason....
now i ordered a T3 from a volvo and im still waiting for it.
so how can i check if the head will fit?

I am pretty sure the head will fit. Looking at it should tell you. i mean the only difference in the two motors is that one is a 1.6, and the other is a 1.4. so its all internal block stuff, not head.. But like i mentioned its probably not worth it.. Try to find a complete 1.6 vtec swap.. or You may even think about going b series.. (I cant belivie i just said that..)
ship me a head gasket from a d14, fold it up or whatever ill compare it to a y8 one i have
also get a head stud and measure the depth of the threads from the shoulder of the bolt
and you need to see if you have a oil restricter in the block and see if you can remove it
