How many of you run 235 60 15's on the street?
I am in the process of building my new engine and am trying to decide on what street tire to run. on my old setup (325 whp mustang dyno) I ran 225 50 15 BFG's, but now i'm gonna be making about 550 whp, and probably 450 whp on my lowest boost setting, so I'm wanting to run something bigger.
Everyone I talk to loves the new design of MT's et streets. The only size that will come close to fitting on my car is the 235 60 15. If anyone has any feedback, I'd appreciate it. The car is a 94 integra, and the suspension will be omni adjustables.
Anyone have pics, preferably on a teg? (any 235 60 15)
How much did you have to trim your front bumper for turning? Did you roll your fenders? ETC??

I think if the car is high enough you shouldn't have to cut anything. I had to take mine off because they were hitting the fenders going over bumps to often(had springs not coiovers so, I couldn't adjust them up). They did not rub the bumper at all when turning (92' hatch)

thank you, which brand did you have? how did they hook on the street? I hear the new MT's are supposed to be some of the best hooking tires on the planet. I know it's totally unrelated, but in last month's chevy high perf. mag (i think that was it), there was a blue nova that went mid 8s on them, with like a 1.4 60'...pretty crazy

I'm gonna use mine b/c i'm tired of getting raped on the street by cars that are 10x slower than me. I know it wont solve the problem all together, but maybe i'll get traction at 40mph. I love the new design, i think it'll look badass on a teg... someone photoshop!

ET Streets are ET drags with "tread" cut into them. ET Street Radials (AKA, the tires he's talking about) are a radial tire and have not much in common with an ET Drag, which is a bias ply slick.

. The M/T's are badass though for sure.

That's what I have heard from all the RWD guys, hell I may not even buy slicks if they are that good
. If anyone has had firsthand, or knows anyone who has had experience with the 235 60 15 et streets (new version) on a high hp fwd car, fill me in!

I am using the BFG brand tires (235/60/15) on my car, which is a 90 Civic. We had to raise the car up to fit, becuase in the Power Street car for Nopi you cant cut your fenders to fit. Here is a pic of them on my car. Hope this helps you out.

these tires are the best thing i have bought for my car so far. i went from no traction on low boost in 3rd gear, to dead hooking in 2nd.
for M/T

Those tires look crazy. I was really considering these instead of the 225/50 BFs, but I wasnt sure if it would fit. Can the car even turn without rubbing? I know these tires are 26" tall. Thats pretty big.
My friend has those MT drag radials on his mustang. He said they are the "ONLY" tire other than a FULL RACE DRAG SLICK, that gives him traction. He is making over 1,000rwhp w/ 38psi of boost in a foxbody. He traps 150mph on only 30psi and w/o the water/meth injec. He has no traction issues at all.
2 of my other friens use them, one w/ a high 9 second foxbody mustang and one w/ a mid 9 secodn TA firebird. Both say the same thing about how well these tires perform.
I'm ordering a set of the 235 60 15's for my car

i run a 1/4 inch spacer on each side, just to clear my head of my fear of teh balljoint shredding the tire when it grows. I can turn full lock both ways without any rubbing what so ever.
these tires rock

Boosted Jeff that made my day, if they look half as nice on my car as they do on yours i'll be the happiest man around. It is a beautiful car! Looks like they were made for your car
what is your suspension setup? what size are the rear tires? lastly what color is that paint? It is exactly what i'm looking for for my teg

I have the MT 235/60/15 on my eg and they rub with no motor in the car, but only because of the body kit. These tires were not legal for power street class last year, but I did check the rules just now and it does not specify what tire can be used like it did last year.
If they hook as good as people say, I may save myself the money of buying new drag wheels and slicks
I really love the though of driving to the strip and just running, no changing wheels and ****. However I guess if you have to change axles, that kinda defeats that

Hey all.. I'm a noob to this forum but not to cars.. My question is this.. on a 95 ex coupe what would be the widest tire i could go with without rubbing? right now i still have the 7x17's w/205s the car came with but at 7psi i'm destroying them in 3rd gear.. without the meth.. the car will be running 30psi soon as i get the solenoid installed (and the startup tune changed).. tire choice for street is obvious but i'm hoping someone has some quick info on size/offset for me.. i'm used to running 315s on my domestics but there's no chance of that with these cars. I'm also considering fender extensions.. Input anyone? TIA
