jg - The last few pics were before the rebuild. The new motor has CTR cams, skunk manifold, etc... basically poor man's ITR... I still don't know why they call it that - it would have cost less to buy an ITR motor!

cre - Rota C-8's. 15". I'm going to a Mugen MF10L in their new mirror face finish.

I'll shoot some more pics as I make some progress...

I got rid of the projector headlights. They worked okay, but I prefer a clean stock look.

My exhaust system consists of a Thermal R&D 2.5" cat back, 2.5" test pipe, JDM DC Header. Its way too loud - well it was way too loud before the JDM header - I'm sure it will only be worse. I might get a Mugen twin loop and keep the stainless B-pipe from the Thermal.

Project is delayed a little becuase of my vacation and becuase my Honda parts order did not arrive this week. I should have everything wrapped up by April 9th.

I don't have any seats yet for the car. What do you guys think? I was thinking I would take the seats from my ITR and put them in there, and then get some JDM Recaros for the ITR. I have a Corbeau Forza in my race care and I like it a lot - I may just get two of those.... The guy I share a garage with is a Corbeau dealer so I get them pretty cheap.

What till you see the suspension!

Clayton

What do you have planned suspension wise, I would be interested in hearing the setup...

Suspension....

Rear:
The trailing arms, control arms, and brakes are all GSR. I will be running a 23mm Skunk bar along with King Motorsports adjustable upper arms. I also have the Benen strong bar and lower tie bar in black.

Front:
All GSR parts, so I will have the GSR brakes. LS front sway bar. King Motorsports adjustable upper A-arms (just like Skunks). Benen front lower tie and upper subframe brace.

For starters I will use Tokico Illumnia struts with Skunk coils. 400 front 500 rear. I want to see how that combo goes. I might get the Mugen Sport Low Down kit. I have that on my ITR and the balance between ride quality and performance is awesome. the only problem is that it only offers -20mm drop and its not adjustable.

All of the ball joints, hardware, bearings, and hubs are brand new. This thing should drive like it is brand spanking new....

For wheels I prefer 15". For street I'll use some stock 14" Honda alloys - i like the sleeper look. For racing I'll run the 15" Rota's wrapped in Hoosier rubber.

If my budget permits I plan on getting some Mugen MF10L mirror face wheels later in the summer.

Should be fun. I can't wait.

Christ, that thing looks like a concours restoration. "Clean" doesn't begin to describe the condition of that car. Damn.
