Default Coolant temperature needle seems to be a little high?

I had a GSR about 2-3 years ago and I don't remember my coolant temp needle being this high... maybe I just don't remember...

Is that normal?

My gf's is like that and I always wonder if her's is high. Mine is lower than that, its only about half of that.

It depends on what thermostat setting you have. I have an autozone one at the moment at 160, so I would assume yours is OEM?
