Depends. 97 are the rarest and 97-98 are more sought out for because of the Championship white color.

an R is an R...although 97's are harder to find. just find one you like in good, kept condition.

i'd say get the one that is best well kept....

lowest miles, nice body, etc...less mods the merrier...unless it's fully spoon'd or toda'd or mugen'd out

if an R has a lot of cash (mod wise on it), then it prolly means that the owner treated it well

I'd go with a 98 for the CW, but also the slightly redisigned front end. 97 for rarity, and the new ones for condition.

If I had to get one all over again I would get white. Slap on a JDM front and SPOOOON it.

Yes, I like 98s the best, im partial to the CW color mods can be considered a positive or a negative, my car came with TONS of mods, all well thought out besides the str short shifter(broke on me, damn aluminum) but because of mods and year, i got for a very reasonable price

'00-01 is the best because you can get one in YELLOW!!!

Yellow is the only color that doesn't look like a non-R Integra.

Heck, yellow is the only COLOR. Black or white are not colors anyway - they're cop-outs.

Yellow is the best color to get... I know this because it is dyno proven that Yellow is also the fastest.

for absoulute sheer numbers, the 01 Blacks are the rarest becasue there were only 182 brought in or so i have been told that number by more than 1 source. I know of at least 3 wrecked ones so that makes it 179. That is the rarest Type R USDM availible...

I like the black. Nothing looks better than a black car. Sure you cant do the carbon fiber thing and look as cool... but you have the same color car as Knight Rider... And we all remember how cool Knight rider was... In fact, it was so cool that I named my ITR K.I.T.T.

Actually, I think the expression is, "No one bothers to look at a black car."

Thats fine by me, I liked like to keep mine to myself. Also the officers of the law pay much less attention.

I'd say you all are smoking crack for picking a 98 or 97. Pick a 00 or 01 because of the better cam. More power baby Unless your doing mods to it anyways (ie cams) then it realy does not mater. I'd go for the cheapest one you can find (I went for the only one I could find, 01 Black).

Back in 97, I saw a white ITR on the showroom floor. I didn't like the color (especially the wheels) and bought a red 96 GSR. In 2000, I brought the GSR in for service and saw them washing a PY ITR. It didn't make it to the showroom floor as I traded in the GSR for it. To each his own.

I find that comment about 01 black Rs to be highly unlikely...i know at least 4 in the pittsburgh area, more than yellows in fact...and this isn't exactly ITR central. 79% of all type R statistics are made up, whether you heard them or made them up yourself Take it with a grain of salt...no one knows how many there are, or how many of each color there are.

Im sorry. Its 00 Balck Rs... Not 01s. Sorry to the dude who thinks he has 1 of 182... I have an 00 thats how I know... At first i thought sure ok whatever, but more and more people gave me the same number. Ive gotten this from at least 5 reliable sources.

Sure, call Honda/Acura in Japan and I'm sure someone there knows.
