S2000 REAR shock fit on Civic/Integra?
i was just looking at the rear shock of the S2000, and it *might* just be possible that the rear shock of the S2000 might fit Civics and Integras!
i dunno, but can anyone PLEASE take a measurement of the bushing width at the control arm? I'm pretty sure the top hat of the S2000 is even the same as the civics. Please help me, im dying to know for sure.

why not?
alright, im offering $10 to anyone who can give me measurements of the bottom shock bushing width and the distance from the hole to the top of the fork to check clearance, and the distance between the two studs on the top mount and the OD of middle tube of the top mount.
im very serious. i have paypal'ed $10 to other ppl who have provided me information. please provide pics.

The logistics just don't work out. Different mounting (the s2k is rear wheel drive) the weights between the two are different and on and on it goes. I can get you the measurments but you'll be wasting your $10
it wont be a waste if you can tell me what i want to know so i can be sure.
you dont have to take the $10 either if you dont think its worth it....
id offer you a beer we were dealing face to face...

interesting. do accord ppl know that?
its not that i "plan" anything. i just want to know. and the knowledge is worth $10 to me... sigh.

If you can find out that the top hats and bottom mounts are the same in the Accord and Civic/Integ, you have your answer. Most of S2000 owners don't like S2000 parts grafted on to any other cars due to theft problems, hence the hostility. So many people have been jacked for seats, wheels, motors, etc.; it's disgusting.

The immobilizer helps protect the car from starting and being driven off, but that's about it. The top, seats, wheels.. actually everything else is still vulnerable.
Slideways...ur way too good.
Going back to his point, u dont know how many posts i've seeen with "will s2000 ___ fit on ____". Wheels getting jacked, then seats, whole interiors...not a big fan of it.
But seriously, i could understand putting an itr suspension on a civic/crx. But why the hell would anyone ask about putting s2000 supension on a civic. Even if it were possible, they're two totally different chassis. I guess to each his own...

im after the remote reservoir that has high speed compression tuned separately that the rear of the s2000 shock has. i know some aftermarket suspensions get rid of them in their design, but some dont and even allow adjustment.
the chassis are completely different yes, but that doesnt make it unusable for the sake of the suspension being ineffective, IF IT FITS.

honestly, this is really just academic to me. i have no plans. but... if i were to do hybrid suspensions, id just use 92-95 EG/DC shocks with forks on my CRX.
That would have been the easy way out, but you chose to be difficult. I'm not bashing your method or reasoning, just that there are easier ways of doing it. I do have a pair of rear S2000 shocks if you're THAT interested.
Someone was on to something with the spring rates/damper tuning, but it might even work in your favor theoretically. An S2000 will have stiffer rear springs than a Civic to carry that 49/51 weight ratio vs. a 55/45(guessing) of a Civic. Coilover setups that I've seen for the FF's have equal F/R spring rates, sometimes even stiffer in the rear. I had a '89 HF myself, and suspension really does that car well.
Do what you have to do, but people are more inclined to help if you have a problem or a project (with proof), rather than just "academics".
