would you ITR owners traded in your ITR for a s2000?
I found myself at a honda dealership looking at a s2000 while my ITR was getting an oil change. They made a good offer, but I love my R. What would you guys do if you would pay less then an ITR.
If you ask a dumb question you will get a dumb answer!!
if the S2000 is less....I dont know to many dummy's who would turne that down!!

only if I had another car.
Disadvantages of the S2K:
1. practicality
2. not much aftermarket support aside from suspension and brake ****
3. no way to run it on some road courses since there are no approved roll bars
Contrast that to the ITR, which is at the opposite end of the spectrum in all those categories.

The dealership I bought my ITR from said the guy who traded it in bought an S2000, a few months later I met the owner while getting work done to my R and he said he wished he didn't make that decision cause he misses the R now. Sucks for him good for me!

if the ITR wasnt my daily driver.. yes I would. I would trade the R for a S2000 but only if I had a daily beater. My R is still for sale, I´m looking at some options but the S2000 aint one of them

NEVER..my friend has a s2000...its nice..and faster...but i love my R too much..it feels more like a race car...plus there is an old lady driving a s2000 around my area...i have the only R..
OK OK we know everyone loves there R and thats well respected...
pound for pound the s2000 is so much nicer......lets get an honst oppinion
here...Since the guy who is askin can get the s2000 cheaper and if he dont have any kids then it looks like an abviouse choice....right?......
eveyone is saying there R is in there heart...but if the s2000 was cheaper like the situation abouve..I think most would choose the s2000.If I had a s2000 i would
use it as an every day beater we are talkin only a 30 thousand dollor car here not a lambergini........ALL in ALL it really dont matter what we think....the s2000 is really only about 5 g's more brand new..

even though the s2k is more expensive and is a eye catcher(since its a convertible), i still would rather have a type r. i honestly have driven both of these cars and i love the ITR. the s2k feels faster but i wasn't comfortable in it. the type r was so fun to drive and it felt like i was in home. plus, the ITR has more aftermarket support and the b18c5 motor is incredible. the s2k is good if you want to give your gf a ride or impress people, the ITR is a real mans car and it feels more aggressive.
My friend just got a 2k2 S2000. It's nice but I'm not crazy about having a convertible. I'm also not crazy about drawing more attention to myself. I could just see it now wherever I go: "How can you afford it?" blah blah blah (I'm 22 and so is he). I would consider getting one later in life.

It's a better daily driver IMO.
I would choose an s2000. The car is simply on another level. The technology and outta the box hanlding and speed eclipses the type-r in every way possible.
I wanted one but couldn't afford it... oh well... back to the r.

S2000 is bad ***! But when Honda puts an "Type R" on a car, they mean business. S2000 is great, but its not a Type R... plus, good bringing home new parts and moving in the S2000... or just taking a few friends for a ride. S2000 is great, but the ITR is just so much more refined. In fact, I would probably take a Civic Type R over the S2000. And without a doubt, the NSX-R!
you can fit 4 race tires, a giant bin o' crap, a huge sears jack, and everything you need for a week-long trip to the track in a Type R (if you pack cleverly). If you get a flat in an S2000, you can't even put the stock wheel in the trunk after putting the spare on. Rs kick ***....StooKs are nice, and lots of fun to drive...but they're even more a toy than the R.
It's all about having the best of both worlds

S2000 would be faster around the track no doubt. The steering is quicker, it's quite balanced, and the seating position for me is perfect.
However it's not practical in Toronto to own one without a hardtop. Winter and all all..
Since it costs more than an ITR, the older crowd tend to own them. As suppose to a younger ITR owners. This is another purchase decision, I don't see me hangin with old foggies driving a cappacino at Starbucks.
