I believe the highest right now on this board is about 320hp on tweakdcd5's car. If your looking for 400hp be ready to lay down atleast 5-7k. 300hp on a stock block is not too hard with the proper turbo and tuning but after that you'll need built internals which are not easy to come by since not many people makes parts for f22 motors.

if you have to build internals and spent loads of cash doing it to your f22, your better off building a h22 properly and boost that. that will get you to your + likings.

Hey, being different is cool. If you can pull off good horsepower numbers on a 4 banger, then I'm impressed. Just takes a good bit of money.

Or you could buy a real power car.

Sorry I'm a domestic fan when it comes to that. I have seen some nice modified sport compacts though, and props are given Go for it dude. Just don't pimp around with a retarded fart can and all.

300whp give or take 25 is about the maximum you'll get out of a stock F block -and thats about all you need

Being different...hmm, I'd say swapping an H22 into an Accord would be different, not to mention a boosted H22 in an Accord would be different, on top of that a built H22 boosted would be very different, and then you would be able to have 400hp!

man half the people in this accord section of honda-tech has h22s in there car having a h22 in there car is not different. How many f22 turbo accords you see around here making big power. Hardly none of them. I mean if i can find a h22 for cheap i would. Has anybody ever bought a h22 from a junkyard is so how much did they pay.

Where in the hell do you get your stats? I would say less than a quarter of members have turbo'd F block and even fewer H series. If you want to be original then get a wagon...If you want 400 whp then save some money and buy a V8 but that's just me.

but then again.. hes wanting to be original. having a 400 hp camaro or mustang isnt much to brag about, since for the most part your starting anywhere from high 200's - mid 300's (obviously depending on what you go with)and can acheive 400 w/a good blower setup or nitrous,

if you want original.. stick a wankel rotary in a geo metro.
ive always wanted to see a civic w/a twin turbo v8.
oh, maybe the stock CRX hf engine in some old chevy van! (man that would suck)

OR, if you just want to stick to an accord..i bet nobody heres got a v8 in one..theres your originality and a 400 hp accord!

OK..

1) There are parts out there for the F22. Pistons/Rods/Cams/Springs/Retainers...etc.

2) You can see 400hp out of that block. If you can see 300 w/ just a bolt on turbo kit and good tune. Build the engine, throw more boost at it, good tune, go from there.

3) Don't talk if you don't know what your talking about.

I agree... everyone says.... " get h22 and boost it.." man... just f*** the h22 for one minute and boost the f22.... so what?!... it's horsepower to the wheels anyway... ....hope you reach your goal and beat lots of sporty cars....!

wow, interesting.... Do you have any more pictures? I'd love to laugh at what an accord looks like with a cowl induction hood.

Yeah someone already generally covered it but I made 335whp/ 279ft. lbs torque so far... with a custom turbo kit, supporting mods (clutch, fuel system, and hondata) on a stock f22b1.

<TABLE WIDTH="90%" CELLSPACING=0 CELLPADDING=0 ALIGN=CENTER><TR><TD>Quote, originally posted by cambopheonix56 &raquo;</TD></TR><TR><TD CLASS="quote">it will take alot of money to get 400whp out of sohc...</TD></TR></TABLE>

We shall see... alot of cars here with big potential, though I am curious what is your definition of alot of money? Btw we talking stock long block, semi built lower, fully built lower, etc.?

edit: correct # posted, damn I should try not posting when I am half asleep.

i don't care how fast that thing is. an accord was built to be a family sedan, not a freaking hot rod. if i saw that thing down the street, i'd just point and laugh at it. 350 small blocks belong in ugly american cars. VTEC engines belong in accords because 1. they are reliable, 2. they are lightweight, 3. they actually FIT inside the hood. i may be guilty of "all show, no go" but i like my cars to look sleek rather than simply doing 13s on the 1/4 mile.

Also the v8 accord above is a novel idea but I just am not feeling it, more because of all the added weight and chopping of the car with that setup... although extremely cool.

I would love the rwd and those meats though... bet it hooks up well! I know I dont.

I said I never want to own another Honda as I much prefer the V8's but I might re-evaluate my decision for that car. Actually while I like V8's a lot better I will probably own a Honda sometime down the road after this Accord.
