Re: OT: Anyone in Miami? (Aquafina)
I'm from there. Florida city is really really south miami, so i am not to sure what there is to do local to that; as in beaches. But if your willing to drive a little there are the obvious cocount grove, and south beach. Even though your not 21, just walking around that area is enjoyable. If you like casino's you could go to the fairly new Seminole Hard Rock Cafe/Casino, and you only have to be 18 to get in, there is a club in there but i'm not sure how old you have to be to get in, and this will be a hike for you. And hopefully someone that knows that area better will be able to help you.

There's tons of stuff to do in Miami, just depends what you're into. There's lots of tourist stuff like metro zoo, parrot jungle, aircraft museum at Tamiami airport (not sure if that's still open). If you just want to chill and enjoy some eye candy, the trip up to South Beach would probably be worth it.
If you want to say another day, there's an autocross in Hialeah (near Miami) on the 18th: http://autox.carlc.com/calendar.htm. Neo's gonna be there, right Neo?

Any buildings that are awesome? I'm into architecture and engineering type of stuff. At the ITR Expo's I go to the nearest big city and take pics of the buildings.
How spread out is Miami? Not the suburbs, but the actual downtown area.

Actual downtown isn't exactly huge, and most of the good architecture isn't in the downtown area. Basically from Jupiter to Florida City it's just one giant urban sprawl. The best architecture in Miami is in some of the residential districts such as Coconut Grove, Coral Gables, and (hehehe) Kendall. Florida City is a good twenty miles from Kendall, and close to thirty from the Grove. It's easy for a tourist to get lost if you venture too far off of US-1 without specific directions, but most of Miami is reasonably accesible from US-1. Be sure to check out Sunset Place on a Friday or Saturday night, The Collection on a weekday, Coconut Grove on a Friday or Saturday night, South Beach anytime, and the Keys anytime.
Again, if you need a place to stay, I can hook you up with a place about 7 miles from the speedway.

Yeah, what Kendall said.
IMHO, the best architecture in the area is mostly residential. There's lots of REALLY nice older houses/mansions from Coconut Grove up through Brickell (just south of downtown), especially along the waterfront. One cool thing to visit in that area is Viscaya. There are some kinda-cool highrise condos in Brickell. Downtown is so-so. The only building down there that really made an impression on me was the one with all the vultures perched on the roof.
If you do go sightseeing near downtown, take a good map (or a GPS if possible). You can get into a rough area really quick if you aren't careful.

[QUOTE=Aquafina]Where is Sunset place?QUOTE]
Sunset place is on US-1 and 57th Ave. Its a pretty cool outdoor mall, and definetly has cool architecture.

Mostly stock.
Still a little worried about it. Anything with R parts is eye candy for thieves.
Maybe I should just rent a Pathfinder
Bad area? Like getting the **** beat out of me and jacked, or me getting raped/killed/kidnapped/other shitty stuff? I don't carry cash, but they'd probably like my shoes and ask me for my PIN.

Re: OT: Anyone in Miami? (Aquafina)
Miami is my home away from home. im usually down there 3 times a year... my getway from work. life.. and stress.... this is what i can tell you from my personal experience.
For sight seeing, South Beach is the place to be. colorful Art Deco buildings. hot *** cars and even hotter ladies that practically bare it all, all year round. and oh.. did i mention all the prostitutes and pimps that runs the streets of Washington ave. GREAT entertaiment... even if you are just watching the PIMPS boss the Hoes around hahhaha
if you have a car, make sure you are there around 2-4pm. Especially when its a weekend. or holiday. all the cars are cruising up and down Ocean dr/Collins Ave. constantly scoping out all the hotties. also at the same time, gives a CAR Nut like ourselves the opportunity to check out all the $100k rides that are either parked or cruising the "strip".
Take road A1A North into Surfside. A more laid back area. beaches are less packed. more buildings to see. and stop off at Flanigans for Dinner... i highly recommend it. cheap and def fill you up..
and like what the others had said... stop by Coconut Grove.... lots of clubs and little things to do...
travel into Little Havana. get some great CUban food.. but that area can be rough.. so tourist beware.. all the locals will know if you are a tourist or not. we all stand out like a sour thumb. so just becareful..
so lets review, in not particular order...
1. Miami... Bayside. check out AA arena... check out the all the bridges at night that connect to South Beach.. Its pretty.. colorful. great for taking pics and showing off your expertise.
2. South Beach. ladies. cars. beaches. HOEs. PIMPS. and CELEBS
3. Coconut grove/walk.. lots of little things to do.
4. Little Havana.
5. Surf Side. for food.... Flanigans.... and also for their laid back atmosphere.
6. if you got time... take US1 North into Ft Lauderdale area..
7. Mangos.... great place for hot waitresses that dance and puts on a show for everyone...
3 more weeks... i shall be back there again. to run away from all the cold and snow that we are having..... i can see it now. laid back with my Wet *******... ahhh... now i know why all the old folks from NY/NJ move down there in the winter.... i hope its not a sign for me that i am getting old

Unfortunately that club doesn't usually allow passengers, but if you show up I'll see if I can swing it. And if not me, they do have "approved" people you can ride with, too.
